There are still many unsigned 2024 players looking for a home next season. Many circuits, give players an opportunity to showcase their skills on a national level. For seniors, these circuits are their last chance to impress college scouts and coaches. Here we take a look at a few unsigned 2024 players who are continuing to build on successful senior campaigns this Spring.
Daye Kaba fresh off his senior season with Eagle Academy Bronx, is continuing to showcase elite skills this Spring. Kaba is long athletic, and at Made Hoops NYC Clash played with an added tenacity. During the weekend, Kaba exhibited more improvement in his long distance and midrange jumpers. But Kaba also did a good job of not settling for shots, and knew when to shoot versus attacking the rim. On the defensive end, Kaba guarded 1-4 and continues to be active in passing lanes. With interest from NJIT, Old Dominion, New Hampshire, Manhattan, and UAlbany, Kaba is likely to commit soon.
Ashton Reynolds
Ashton Reynolds
Ashton Reynolds is a freak athlete whose basketball IQ grows with every game. As a shooter, Reynolds does not fall in love with his shot. But when Reynolds is hot, he can shoot with the best of them. At Made Hoops NYC Clash, Reynolds showed off his athleticism on several offensive possessions. But it was one on the defensive end, that gained a couple of oohs from the packed Queens College gym. As the ball was kicked to the corner, Reynolds was able to block the 3-point attempt then leap out of bounds to save the ball igniting a fast break. Reynolds is a team player, every time we see him he consistently turns down good shots to get better shots for his teammates. With multiple D1 offers, Reynolds is looking to call a school home soon.
Tyler Edore Tyler Edore 6’7″ | PF Brooklyn Collegiate | 2024 State NY is a PSAL leading rebounder in NYC, who can also stretch the floor. At Made Hoops NYC Clash, Edore continued to be too much to handle for teams on the glass. For his size, Edore has quick feet and runs the floor well in transition. Around the rim, Edore used his traditional post moves to create fouls or utilized his soft touch to convert through contact. On the floor, Edore leads by example, never getting too hot or cold in any situation. And Edore’s teammates respond to that by keeping him involved in pivotal moments. Tyler Edore Tyler Edore 6’7″ | PF Brooklyn Collegiate | 2024 State NY will make someone really happy the next 4 years, once they commit to him the way he commits to the game.
Jadyn Wilson
Jadyn Wilson
Jadyn Wilson is a consistent hardworking kid, who never takes off a play. At Made Hoops NYC Clash, Wilson was lethal from the corner, midrange and long. And rebounded well for his size against bigger opponents. This is no suprise, as Wilson always plays with toughness. At 6’6” Wilson has long arms and an athletic body. If you need a player willing to do the dirty work on defense, but can still contribute on offense, Wilson is one of those players. And playing with CM3 on the Made Hoops Circuit will allow Wilson to show all of those traits consistently.
Carlos Rodriguez is a crafty ball handler and consistent shooter from long range. At this time, Rodriguez has not communicated he has received any offers which may be due to the lack of coverage for Scarsdale High School. At 6’2” Rodriguez is a strong and smart ball handler, who gets to his spots no matter who is guarding him. With smaller guards, Rodriguez utilizes a post up dribble to initiate offense. But with more athletic and longer defenders, Rodriguez ball handling skills really shine. Without being the quickest guard, Rodriguez shows he has the IQ to get around opponents or free himself for an open shot. As the primary ball handler and scorer for Scarsdale Rodriguez shined. But with Kips Bay, Rodriguez will be showcasing more of his playmaking skill set this Spring and summer for College coaches.
