(Gateway Knights 15U-UA): The 6’8″ 2027 forward from Principia had a tremendous weekend as he continues to ascend up towards the top of the charts in the class around the state. He was a dominant rebounder throughout the weekend as he used his size, tenacity and quick second jump around the basket. His offensive game is still coming along, but he had some strong finishes inside with power dunks in traffic. He was also getting out and running the court.

Kain Eivins Kain Eivins 6'3" Clopton | 2025 MO ( Dangerous Alliance 17U): A 6’3″ 2025 forward from Clopton who had a big performance in his team’s victory over 1 Basketball Dream. He used his solid build and skill set to provide matchup problems for the defense. The young lefty has good footwork and was scoring on a variety of moves in the low post. His drive game was very effective and he knocked down perimeter jumpers. He displayed the ability to score with either hand.

Chase Duke ( Team Ramey 15U EYCL): A 6’2″ 2027 forward from Vianney who plays much bigger than his height because he plays a very physical brand of basketball. Anyone who tried to bump him was coming out second best every time. He held position well to score in the low post or get weakside offensive rebounds on putbacks. He also has a strong motor to compliment his physical strength.
******
Halbert Jackson (Team Iowa 15U): A 6’4″ 2028 guard from Cedar Rapids was one of the youngest players at the event at 13 years of age. You would have never thought by looking at him and watching him play. He has a good strong body to go along with his height and he was also an impressive bucket. He could power his way into the lane to get layups or hit short jumpers. He was also pulling up from 3-point range and knocking down triples. He was not phased one bit by playing with the older players.

Lycoln Koester (Ramey 17U EYCL): The 6’3″ 2025 guard from Mt. Zion (IL) was front and center in Team Ramey ‘s impressive win over Gateway-Knights UA. He went on a heater in the second half that helped break open a relatively competitive game at the time. He scored 13 points in a three-minute period as he knocked down a trio of 3-pointers that were from well beyond the volleyball line. He could create off the dribble and slash into the open gaps to either score of find an open teammate after drawing the defense to himself.
*******
Will Grus (Gateway Knights 15U): A 6’4″ wing from Columbia Hickman who played the game in attack mode from the opening tip to the final buzzer. On the first possession of the game I watched, he took two hard dribbles, made a tough spin move in traffic and got a bucket and a And 1. That kind of set the tone for what he was going to do the rest of the game. He had straight line drives and he could also work in the low post.
******
Hoyt Hoffine (Living the Dream 16U): A 6’8″ 2026 forward from Paolo, KS who has good athleticism and a strong motor to go along with it. It was entertaining to watch him go head-to-head with Gateway UA big

. He scored on some strong aggressive moves in the post and he was rebounding and blocking shots with tenacity.
