This article is dedicated to just a few names who had some noteworthy happenings during the spring and have positioned themselves to be impact contributors in the second half of the summer or in the high school scene in the fall. Stay tuned for additional parts in order to fully cover the guys we felt made a splash this spring.

Sancho is a name known to us due to his participation in the PH Freshman Showcase, but developed a lot over the winter and spring. He made a splash playing up two age divisions in Phenom events in May, and was rewarded with an addition to NY Rens' 15U EYBL group for the Session 4 of EYBL. He's gotten much better from deep, showing he can get hot around the perimeter. However, I still like his physicality and play around the rim, where he uses a developed frame and deceptive strength to bully people inside the arc. With a lot of room to grow, expect Sancho to have a role with Cannon School by the time November comes around.

This kid continues to be an outstanding player, both at the high school level and grassroots, where he put together another great spring with perimeter bombs galore. As mentioned, he's a knockdown shooter that spaces well and just takes the right shot, no chucking or wild shots in his game. He's also shown his ability to be a point guard, facilitating and dictating the offense for his teammates. He can score it against just about anybody, and he should quickly become a college-level target for coaches over the rest of the summer.

Smith will absolutely be a stockriser in the upcoming rankings update, as he's become an important part of his E.A. Prep team, consistently making difficult shots from the mid-range or beyond the arc. Sports great size and length which allows him to play multiple positions with his ball skills, defensive IQ, and effort. Speaking of defense, he's always active, looking to poke, prod, and make life difficult whether he's an on-ball or off-ball defender. Going to be a big time player his senior year.

Parkins is one of many NLPB guys putting together great springs so far, and the 6'7 forward is someone that should be a rock-solid post presence at the next level. He's been averaging double double type numbers while in a three man rotation in the low post, but just plays his role, does what his group needs from their bigs (which is running hard and rebounding at a high rate), and occasionally showing up some nice post skills/touch. Would be a great pickup for a local area school, and should continue to post big time numbers this summer.

Murray is going to be one of the main guys next year at North Meck, bringing a pass-first presence to the backcourt but providing pace and control with the ball in his hands. He played scrappy defense and bench minutes with this year's state championship group, but he'll be much more involved as a passer and scorer next year. His work in the spring has shown, constantly looking to create for others in his group, but taking selective opportunities to attack and either get to a finish or a pull-up jumper too.

Koonin has been posting near double double stat lines week in and out, showcasing a willingness to attack the glass and do the dirty work for his guys. He'll get a few finishes here, make a few nice passes there, and pull down a few boards to get a triple nickel or more in many of his games. The kind of Swiss Army knife you need on your team that makes the right decisions, looks to making winning plays and be a coaches player. Dual sport athlete with baseball, but will be a stud in both sports for sure.
