Continue ReadingThis is the sequel to the article on stock-risers in the 2026 class. Here are five more prospects who are elevating their game:
Mason Conrad Mason Conrad 6'0" | PG Methacton | 2026 PA | 6’0 Total Skills ZGXL
An instinctive player, Conrad has gone from scoring off of turnovers and off of his teammates at Methacton to driving the TS offense. He reads the second and sometimes even the third defender in order to get the best look available. And because he can confidently catch-and-shoot and make live-dribble passes, it’s difficult for opponents to take things off the table for him.
JayVion Denis JayVion Denis 6'5" | SF Dover | 2026 State DE | 6’5 We-R1 UAA
The context doesn’t matter: Denis’s game translates to any state. Over the course of two UAA sessions, at worst, he was almost guaranteed to hit two threes and grab two steals. It doesn’t take much for him to get open on the perimeter or to make something happen on defense. Moreover, Denis is improving at exploiting hard closeouts to get to the rim.
Jerry Johnson, Jr. Jerry Johnson, Jr. 6'2" | CG La Academia Charter | 2026 State PA | 6’3 Team Final Red EYCL
Johnson Jr looks really good as a lead guard on the EYCL. With his rhythmic approach to the game, he orchestrates the offense by throwing absolute dimes and hockey assists. Johnson doesn’t have the size to out-muscle anyone, so he creates advantages with his change of pace. And despite the stretches when he’s carrying a heavy usage, he still finds the energy to strap up defensively.
Marcel Ramirez Marcel Ramirez 6'0" | CG Conrad | 2026 State DE | 6’0 Cecil Strive Elite ZGXL
His jumper is his weapon of choice. Ramirez can get his shot coming off of screens, space the floor from the corner, or rock side-to-side before pulling up at beyond and inside of the arc. He’s a good ball-handler and a reliable defender as well. The same ability to dribble that allows him to create shots for himself also makes him a secondary ball-handler who can moonlight as a primary.
Sahin Rodriguez Sahin Rodriguez 6'0" | CG Carver - Engineering & Sciences | 2026 State PA | 6’3 Mt. Pleasant Bulldogs
The two-way shooting guard isn’t afraid to mix it up inside. He has strong hands that he uses to rake the ball away for steals and snatch rebounds away from opposing players. On offense, Rodriguez is a complimentary scorer who doesn’t have to hunt for his shots. But he positively impacts his team even more on that end by extending advantages and making connective passes.
