Landon Clark is a small forward with point guard instincts and on-ball ability. He is a very talented passer who has mastered the bounce pass to back door cutters to the rim. Clark can whip passes from the baseline to find shooters on the perimeter and he manipulates the defense to find the open man by using his eyes. He can also create shots for himself by coming off screens and knocking down shots or driving to the basket while slamming it home. Clark isn’t afraid to shoot from way deep and is confident when creating shots off the dribble. His on-ball functionality is real and makes his upside mouth-watering and should be a huge target for programs and coaches to get in on this sort of talent.
Highlights
Mason Blackwood is an athletic wing who possesses a simple but very effective approach to the game that impacts winning. He is a menace on the boards and will use his athletic advantages to soar over opponents for offensive rebounds. Blackwood gets easy points because of his extra effort. In transition, he is an easy mover with graceful movements and loves to play above the rim in those instances. Blackwood is also a knockdown shooter off the catch and is a real spacing threat with a smooth jump shot. In ball-handling scenarios, he makes good reads and limits turnovers. Blackwood is a fun bouncy forward whose mentality of doing the little things should make him a favorite among anyone who gets to watch him play.
Luke Johnson is a combo guard who showcases a healthy balance between playmaking and scoring. With his passing, he loves to drive on the baseline and find open shooters on the outside. Johnson can run the pick-and-roll and makes quick decisions with the ball. His scoring prowess can be electric at times with a quick trigger for pull-up threes and a beautiful mid-range float game. Johnson does not rush himself and takes his time to shake off defenders in the paint to get open shots. He is also a capable shooter off the catch and can willingly play off the ball. Johnson’s tool chest of offensive tools makes him an interesting follow for programs needing a guard who can help on that side of the court.
Highlights
Ian Plankey is a power forward who shines on the defensive end. With a long frame and tremendous instincts, Plankey shows his presence as a rim protector by swatting balls at the rim. He uses his length advantage well by always keeping his arms up. Plankey’s lateral mobility helps him keep his feet in front of opponents and lock up drivers. He is an excellent rebounder on both sides of the ball and is a double-double threat every night. On offense, Plankey can be most efficient as a roll man and dunk threat, but can occasionally hit an open three if left open. This rim-protector forward should get a lot of looks from programs and coaches needing defense, rebounding, and some interior scoring.
Keyshuan Tillery is an offensive juggernaut from the point guard position. Quick and agile, he can evade defenders by using fakes to get to the rack. Tillery is a ball mover who keeps the offensive pace moving and wears out defenses as a result. He loves to perform pull-ups and step-backs from three-point territory and isn’t afraid to take over games with his ball-dominant shooting. Tillery can jump out of the gym too, throwing down passionate dunks in transition which hypes audiences and fans. His athleticism also shows on defense, playing the passing lanes and making opponents pay for their mistakes. Tillery is exciting and his fast past game on both ends should make him intriguing to programs and coaches needing an energetic and lively point guard.
