Mulder looks to be officially 100% recovered by my eye, because he looked highly explosive and dynamic with the ball in Omaha. Very shifty defensively and looks to make a play on the ball, often.
I was curious as to how Heinert would play and approach the game, offensively. Would he be passive with studs around him? But he scored 19 ppg. in the highest class in South Dakota for a reason. Because he’s naturally an aggressive player and shooter from three. He’s looking to launch if given space. And he’s consistently on target, and will be one of the more prolific three-point shooters this offseason. Loved his confidence and aggression in Omaha. Also, sees the floor really well and can pass the ball better than average.
Elite quickness and ability to change speeds and accelerate and explode. Short-area quickness. Really like his passing skills and decision-making as a passer. Skilled and smart when moving the ball and distributing to teammates. Likes to setup teammates, but can also score himself.
Beckman is another legitimate three-point threat. Has a near picture-perfect release that is quick and with range. He showed the ability to handle the point some and make quick decisions with the ball, with quick, crisp passes. Competes defensively as well and will deny the ball at times. His defensive effort is clearly seen.
Highlights
Goodbary is the #1 prospect in the South Dakota 2025 class. He’s 6’10”, so that obviously is a stock-booster, because he had a big growth spurt in the last couple years. He has some guard-like skills and can stretch the floor from three. Can get creative with the ball and his jumper. Plays his same game in these offseason events. D1 offers already.
