Benton Welker
Benton Welker
Welker has all the tools you want in a basketball player. He has a great size for his position. He is a good athlete. He moves really fluidly and well laterally which helps him be a good defender. He is also super tough. He puts his head down and puts pressure on the rim consistently. He also has a great motor.
Kangas is a tough kid. He played super strong for his size. He bangs in the posts by getting rebounds and defending super well. He did this by using his length great. He also had his hands up and let them shoot the ball into his hands rather than trying to block everything. He is very fundamentally sound. He has a good touch on the offensive end as well. He finished well.
Highlights
Dontae Montgomery
Dontae Montgomery
Montgomery showed some flashes of being a dang good player for Work Foundation on Saturday. He is a super long guard who is quick. He can stop on a dime which makes it tough for anyone to stay in front of him. He has a good handle on the ball and makes good moves. He had a good-looking shot as well. I love the tools he possesses.
Armstrong has had one of the highest motors I have seen all weekend. He played almost the entire game and never let his foot off the pedal. He is a good athlete and he used it to do the dirty work. He did all the little things most do not do. He dictated contact and was a good slasher. He finished and got to the rim often.
Jakob Legron
Jakob Legron
Legron is a really skilled guard with some great touch. He can shoot it from wherever on the court and it will go in but he does not rely on it. He took it to the rim and had some head-scathing finishes. When the game got tight you wanted the ball in his hand because you just trusted his scoring ability. He was not going to let you lose a lead.
