We now have over 200 names in the database of what is shaping up to be a very talented, deep class. All rankings are difficult, and inherently subjective, but that can be especially true with the younger classes. That is why we cut off our initial ranking at just 15. Going much beyond that would have led to too much of a guessing game. However, we still want to give some additional shine to more prospects so here are six “stock-risers” to watch in the Class of 2027 that should be ready for a great spring and summer.
It takes a lot to crack the varsity lineup at a place like Cathedral as a freshman with their consistent depth of talent. However, this talented 5’9″ point guard was able to play his way into some minutes appearing in 19 games to gain valuable experience. Daniels is very quick and shifty with the ball in his hands and will be one of the top playmakers in this class over the next few years.
Admittedly, we weren’t very familiar with this point guard from South Bend Adams High School aside from an early evaluation at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase last August. However, he had a monster weekend at the Prep Hoops Chi-Town Tip Off last weekend with 5Star Basketball 2027 showcasing his all-around scoring ability on the perimeter. Definitely a name to remember.

What Liberty Christian was able to do this season, finishing 18-10 and just one possession away from the State Finals while being led by freshmen was incredibly impressive. It also shows just how talented those guys are. English, a 6’2″ wing, was the best of the bunch leading the Lions in scoring at 12.7 points per game to go along with 5.1 rebounds.
Fort Wayne Snider had three freshmen in their primary rotation which included Hogue who was second on the team averaging 9.5 points per game. The 6’0″ guard is a good shooter from beyond the arc and athletic off of the bounce. He is a big reason why the Panthers were able to surprise some people this past season despite their youth. Catch him with Indiana Game UA Rise 2027 this spring and summer.
Cracking the varsity rotation at the Class 4A level as a freshman is not an easy task. That is especially true at a place like Jeffersonville with some very talented, established older guys on a team that was just a few seconds away from reaching the State Finals. However, Jones, a 6’0″ guard, appeared in 19 games gaining valuable experience in his first season of high school basketball.

Welker is a skilled forward that was a contributor at the varsity level for the Homestead Spartans this season. He has flashed the ability to shoot it from beyond the arc and projects well as a potential pick-and-pop four. Look for him this spring and summer playing with Indy Heat Red 2027.
