It isn't a great weekend of spring/summer basketball if we don't learn about some new players from the great state of Minnesota!

[player_tooltip player_id='2405212' first='Tommy' last='Auge'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] Koch (Shakopee, 6'9 Big, 2025). Tommy is thinner but he is so long. And I was really impressed with how often he got length to the ball in so many different defensive scenarios. He was a real disturbance for teams this weekend plus I saw him finish a fair amount of times and he seemed to be able to use both the right and the left equally well deep in the paint. Played JV for the Sabers this past season but I do wonder if he will develop enough for them to have a long player around the rim for next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1984418' first='Hudsen' last='Jenniges'] of Southwest MN Stars (Westbrook-Walnut Grove, 6'4 Sg, 2025). Hudsen has a chance to be a nice prospect. He is a longer skilled wing that was not bothered by the long wings and agile wings of Real Phenom. Jenniges actually used his length to both them and between his touch at the arc and his one/two dribble attack into a pull-up or deep finish, I was impressed at what he did for his team. He was one of several Stars players that I thought played outstanding team basketball as a unit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1960892' first='Henry' last='Knutson'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] (Maple Grove, 6'4 Wing, 2026). Henry is a player that I really liked this weekend. He faced up and played the wing but was also used in the post. I was impressed with how he put the ball down on the deck and the way he turned fluidly in the post. Did some handling, and he helped the ball handlers with ball screens moving to the rim. Knutson was a JV player last year as a sophomore but I have to believe he has a chance to help the varsity at some point in his career.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560869' first='Banyaan' last='Omot'] of Minnesota Lightning (Austin, 6'5 Wing, 2026). Omot seems like he is finding some scoring consistency for the Lightning and that is huge for Austin. His slashing, off ball activity, transition run. and his movement after setting screens all lead to baskets in the paint and Omot has the length and explosive bounce to finish in ways most players don't. And Banyaan, have you seen your Lightning warm-up long sleeve? I know where it is.

Kwatamah Silikpoh of [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 15s (Champlin Park, 5'10 PG, 2027). If you saw CP play this year or if you are in the NWSC he is not new to you, but I think Kwatamah is a name that people should start becoming familiar with. His relentless attack, quickness of first step, toughness, and intelligence of ball movement really caught my eye. He was in full control of a very good collection of 15s players and he did it with the respect of his teammates. Did a lot of everything both games I saw this weekend.

Jed Streed of Minnesota Swish (Southwest Christian, 6'6 Forward, 2026). Streed is another long and agile, versatile player that caught the eye from the weekend. The first thing that caught my eye was his comfort in handling both against pressure and then on the wing. Then he used that length to finish, to contest shots, and to extend with the touch over the top. And Jed being a lefty it was even tougher for the defense to get to. There was also some range on that touch. Streed was a key player off the bench last winter but he seems like he could earn a bigger role and become a solid prospect.
