EYBL Session I: 15 U Standouts

With consistent off-ball movement, Foster is a player who you need to keep track of during all times. Another area where Foster is so tough to guard is his confidence to take transition pull-up 3-pointers. While many younger guards shy away from this usually low percentage shot, it is not a low percentage shot for Foster. Giving out buckets in all sorts of ways, Foster hit spot-ups, DHO's, step-backs and movement 3-pointers. When Foster masters the ability to keep defenders on his hip as a driver, he'll be even tougher to stop as a driver as well. He showed me more ball handling and play-making than I saw during the high school season. Combine this with efficient scoring and a strong body and Evans is a very productive 15 U player. Already doing the extra stuff that helps you win, Evans jumps to passes, gets deflections defensively and makes the extra pass to better shooters. With excellent touch on jumpers, Keyes can space the floor and loves the turnaround jumper. Productive in the paint due to his ability to stretch out the defense then attack off the bounce, Keyes is a mismatch in the paint. Biggest thing for Keyes will be getting in better shape to play heavy minutes in high paced games. Obviously these prospects are very young and have plenty of time to develop but it's good to get early eyes on these players before college coaches really focus on recruiting this class. Whether it was alley-oop slams, putback dunks, putting his head at the rim for layups, Wingard was flying across the court. Running a bit of an undersized power forward role offensively, Wingard was a match-up problem due to his ability to attack off the bounce and his long strides allowed him to get out in transition and run.
