ORANGE/LOS ANGELES COUNTIES — It was the second-straight weekend that the EHA Circuit and MADE Hoops crew put together a strong California-based club event. West Mania brought together some of the top shoe circuit and independent programs from the Western U.S. for a three-day event, complete with Circuit crossover games in the showcase break off at Cerritos College. In this piece we take a look at the top shooters we saw on the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630625' first='Aaron' last='Glass'] | 2025 | Team DTermined

In the game we watched, Glass was pouring in three's from every spot and in every way you can think off. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is an elite catch and shoot guy who is also very good on the move. Glass sprints through the pass which creates space from trailing defenders and his ability to get on balance quickly lends to his quick release and consistency.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574722' first='Gavin' last='Sykes'] | 2025 | Oakland Soldiers

Sykes had a big game on Friday night from behind the arc. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard was another guy who showed his ability to move without the ball and get into a balanced jump shot. Sykes set up and used screens to his advantage and his quick release and tight shooting mechanics allowed him to get his shot off quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1276626' first='Isaac' last='Carr'] | 2025 | Jalen Green Elite

Carr is more than just a catch-and-shoot guy, though that is perhaps his best attribute. The 6-foot-3 Oregon-based shooting guard has prototypical shooting mechanics with deep and consistent range from multiple spots of the floor. Carr also got to a rhythm mid-range jumper complete with great elevation and a high release.

Levi Oakes | 2027 | Build Your Way Elite

Oakes was probably the biggest breakout player of the event. The 6-foot guard knocked down eight three-pointers in an upset victory over Strive For Greatness, including last second, game-sealing one of the no-dip variety. Oakes is a Southern California-based freshman to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1276627' first='Winters' last='Grady'] | 2025 | Jalen Green Elite

Grady is a confident shot-maker who knocks down jumpers all over the floor. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard can knock down rhythm three's in isolation, catch-and-shoot three's from any spot behind the arc and is consistent with his dribble pull-up going to either hand.
