Fresh off a fantastic junior campaign at El Reno, Roman Nose was a game changer on the defensive end for Next Level. He has a gambler like style to how he plays defense. With his outstanding instincts and strong functional athleticism, the gambles often pay off. This includes being in the passing lanes on defense and even crashing down to block bigger player’s shots as a helpside defender. One of the plays of the game came when he tipped a pass to himself, gathered it and raced to the other end for a two hand flush. This was a great example of the functional athleticism the guard plays with. He’s not a tear off the rim off type explosive leaper. But he’s quick, fluid and covers ground easily with great body control. He won’t “wow” people with the way he moves, but he gets it done at a higher rate than better athletes.

The 918 standout saw his game reach a new level as a junior, and now will get a chance to test it against national competition with an Adidas program from Texas. He seemed to fit in perfectly with his new team, as a consistent three point threat From pushing it in transition and hitting pull up triples, to being an off the ball floor spacer, Thompson is a quality shooter with traits that translate to the next level. He even rotated over and took a big charge, showing the unselfishness and complete aspects of his game.

The freshman from Eastern Oklahoma put up big numbers at the small school level. After watching this game, it’s easy to see why with the high rate he shoots from distance. Some of his makes from distance were even from the college line. More than just a shooter, Hooper has a bit of an old man game for a young player. He hits euro steps and uses his strong frame well on drives, where he has great touch around the rim. A youngster with a diverse scoring package is always worth keeping an eye on going forward.

Bradley continues to show off the development of his complete offensive arsenal. There was multiple instances of him pushing the ball off defensive rebounds and turnovers, looking unbothered by pressure while getting quickly and smoothly into good mid-range pull ups. He remains a big time threat from beyond the arc, but the flashes of on the ball scoring and playmaking (he had a nice pick and roll feed) are very promising for his potential college development.

Crosslen is a rangy athlete, who based on his age and current movements, he will have a chance to be an above the rim player when he gets older. The athleticism is coming in flashes right now, with the occasional block at the rim. Or a coast to coast take. It wasn’t his best day at finishing through contact, but it’s about the potential long term growth when scouting an upside prospect like the Roper from Rogers. Another promising sign for Crosslen came when he knocked down multiple catch and shoot threes.

Simpson has a chance to continue to develop into one of the more dynamic scorers in Oklahoma’s Class of 2025. With his combination of athleticism and size, defenders seem to have to always play off. Which in the games watched, he often made them pay by confidently hitting jumpers. Along with the simple pull up over sagging defenders, he’s also developing a reliable mid-range fadeaway. He also has a snake like ability to slither through the defense on drives, where he rarely seems out of control as he finds his way to the rim. Add in more explosive bounce for highlight reel finishes, and a potential exciting spring and summer is in store for Simpson.

An utility man for a quality team, Laskie did a little bit of everything in a good win for Next Level. It starts with the energy and awareness on the defensive end, even on stream some of his communication and gesturing to help out on defense was apparent. On offense, he mixed hitting the occasional three, with good shot selection and making quality reads as a passer. Laskie looked like a prospect who elevates a team’s floor with good all around play.

The Oklahoma Wolfpack 15U guard stepped into the game on fire from deep, hitting three triples shortly after checking into the contest. With a pair of those threes coming via catch and shoot makes from around the college three point line. After establishing his bonafides as a shooter, he had quality drive and kick out for a teammate’s three. It’s still early in the development cycle for the Class of 2027, and shooting is always a great building block for a prospect.
