The DMV Spring Warmup took place this past weekend at the St. James in Northern VA, featuring some of the top teams in the DMV area. Here's a look at some of the many standouts in the 17U division from Maryland and DC.

[player_tooltip player_id='1955967' first='Eric' last='Reibe'] | 6'9” C | Team Museum

Reibe heads up the new Puma team in DC that will be a big part of their new circuit and he will be one of their top players on the circuit as a nationally ranked big man that will drive college coaches to the events. The 6'9” center showed his blend of physicality and skillset as he dominated on the glass and finished well around the rim, he stepped up and knocked down shots and he provided a rim protector in the paint too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1370503' first='Tyler' last='Jackson'] | 6'3” CG | [program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill']

Jackson came back to Thrill from OTE and quickly reminded folks that he's one of the top scorers in the entire area as he filled it up effortlessly in both games I watched. The 6'3” combo guard started slow but got it going getting to the rim and showing his crafty finishing ability with both hands. He showed his ability to create space and knock down tough shots from the midrange and from deep, and put up big numbers in both games.

Omar Smith | 6'5” CG | [program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill']

Smith is part of a three headed monster of a backcourt that will be one of the best in UA, and he brings the size and intangibles to this backcourt that they all need to match up and beat other teams. At 6'5” he's a big time athlete who can get downhill and finish above the rim, he's good off the ball where he works well to get open and knock down shots and he's able to guard multiple positions too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2867284' first='Bolis' last='Thet'] | 6'8” WF | Global Squad

Global Squad will be as big of an AAU team as you will find regardless of circuit affiliation, and it's easy to see as Thet is the small forward on this team and an absolute walking mismatch for them. At 6'8” he's a good athlete who gets after it and can guard and play multiple positions, he has a good stroke from deep and knocks down shots, he can put it on the deck and get downhill and he's a competitor on both ends.

Will Harper | 6'2” PG | [program_tooltip program_id='2078456' first='DC' last='Premier']

Harper came on to the scene last spring and continued to impress throughout the summer and high school season and he showed he's ready to put even more coaches on the radar this summer. The 6'2” lead guard showed his quickness off the bounce and the ability to get in the paint and make plays, he shot the ball well from multiple levels and most importantly he made plays on the defensive end to help his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1414529' first='Omari' last='Witherspoon'] | 6'4” CG | [program_tooltip program_id='2078456' first='DC' last='Premier']

Witherspoon is another guard that will be very important for this talented Premier squad as he is an intriguing prospect with good size and an all-around impressive skillset. Witherspoon can play on or off the ball and understands concepts and spacing, he has a great IQ with the ball in his hands to make plays for others, he scores it well from all three levels and he can guard multiple positions too.

Malachi Marable | 6'7” PF | [program_tooltip program_id='2078456' first='DC' last='Premier']

Marable has the chance to make a name for himself this summer on the UAA Circuit for division one schools, as the Maret big man was absolutely fantastic across the board at the event. While he's a little undersized at 6'7” he plays with a great motor and is fearless attacking the glass and playing above the rim, he competed hard on both ends of the floor and he was highly efficient on the offensive end.
