The anchor for the 2025-26 Maryland Private School State champions, Thet has an argument for being one of the most improved prospects in the state. Now nearing 6-foot-10, the Siena pledge prides himself on leaving an impact in a multitude of ways. The touch with his jumper inside of 15 feet has become more dependable, his ability to finish high above the rim happened with more ferocity and his tenacity on the glass was evident throughout the year. Thet will look to be the next Maryland prospect to go play under head coach Gerry McNamara and carve out a role after Francis Folefac made a splash helping Siena to the MAAC championship and an NCAA Tournament berth.

The reason why Thet will be a productive piece of Siena’s future rotation stems with his ability to impact the game beyond the box score. It wasn’t a memorable game in the scoring column for the 6-foot-10 senior, but his energy and presence around the rim impact the opposition’s attack even if he isn’t directly involved in actions. He controlled the glass alongside Duncan in the frontcourt as he snagged 13 rebounds and swatted away four shots in the win.

Dominant performance around the rim at both ends for the Siena pledge. Thet finished this game with over a handful of dunks, two of which were one-handed posters on back-to-back possessions. He runs the floor with a purpose and is always either looking for a lob on the offensive end or looking to make a statement block chasing down the opposition. Thet took home game MVP honors thanks to a double-double of 22 points on 11-of-16 from the field, 11 rebounds and five blocks in just 22 minutes of action.

Consistency is the main thing that you will see from him each time he steps on the floor. He understands how to play his position to the best of his ability and doesn’t attempt to play outside of his strengths. He protects the paint well on defense, blocking and altering shots at a solid rate while scoring from midrange and inside the paint offensively.

Thet became the biggest riser in the class as he catapulted 50 spots to No. 12 overall and the top power forward prospect in the local class. There just aren’t too many prospect with Thet’s size, length, fluidity, and untapped potential in the pool at this point and colleges are starting to take notice. The rising senior is poised for a big season at Springdale Prep and has received two recent offers in the the last eight days from Siena and Sacramento State. Norfolk State was the first program to pull the offer trigger on Bol back in the summer

Expect Thet’s ranking to soar when the update releases next Wednesday thank to the body of work that he’s put together since the summer. The 6-foot-9 forward now hold two DI offers from the likes of Norfolk State and Siena. Siena’s offer came in after his weekend at The Challenge and it wouldn’t shock me if a few more came his way before long. There simply aren’t too many prospects, especially in the area, that have the size and fluidity that Thet has to offer.

Bol Thet was the talk of the event as the dynamic forward helped lead Springdale to a perfect 4-0 showing. His blend of size, fluidity, and motor equate to one of the best two-way bigs available in the DMV. On several occasions, Thet swatted shots away at the rim, put his head down to sprint the floor, and finished in rim-rocking fashion to further assert his dominance in the paint. Look for not only his stock among college programs sky-rocket, but also his ranking as we’re set to update the 2026 rankings later this week. Thet is primed for a massive season as Springdale enters the year with one of the more intriguing rosters in the area.

Thet is a dynamic athlete that uses his length and vertical pop to be a menacing shot-blocker while also serving as a consistent lob-finisher for his team at the opposite end. The skill level has come a long way as he is taking and making open 3s while also putting the ball on the floor much more frequently than he was last season. Truly believe his best basketball is ahead of him but his value as a rim-rolling, paint-patrolling big with legitimate size sets his floor at a consistently-high level.

Of all the conversations surrounding there being a ‘lack of bigs’ in the 2026 class, it always left me scratching my head when Division I coaches would be courtside for Thet’s games and not offer him despite speaking so highly of what he’ll become. Norfolk State was the first program to pull the trigger on the 6-foot-10 big man with well-rounded skill. In my opinion, there’s zero reason why he shouldn’t have a handful of LM/LM+ offers, but it’s expected for another school or two to get in the mix in the near future. For now, Thet continues to remind folks of his versatility and ability to pack the box score. He’ll be receiving a boost in the next rankings update.

-Didn’t have his best offensive performance but he contributed on the glass and at the defensive end of the floor to put a lid on the rim in stretches for the Lions. Thet consistently brings the defensive effort to lock down the paint but also is a gazelle running the floor in transition after outletting to a guard. He hit a C+S jumper from the perimeter, face cut down the middle of the key before receiving a laser pace and dunking it home, and constantly put pressure on the defense to get back in transition to prevent thunderous 2-handed dunks. Thet recently completed a visit at Norfolk State and should have suitors to choose from at the end of the year as a dynamic roll threat that can consistently give a team good minutes as the anchor of a defense. Fully expect him to continue rapidly climbing our rankings as a he proves his value to his team.
