Vaughn Karvala Vaughn Karvala 6'5" | SF Oregon | 2026 State WI (Tyler Herro) 2026 6’4
Karvala was an attention-stealer all weekend. The uber athletic forward had several windmills and two-handed momentum-changing dunks. He started with four in the Sunday afternoon matchup. Vaughn relies heavily on his athleticism and that’s not a bad thing as he excites the crowd.
Vincas Buzelis Vincas Buzelis 6'5" | SF Hinsdale Central | 2025 State IL ( Full Package ) 2025 6’5
There were many times this weekend when we saw Vincas rattling the rims. He’s a stocky forward who doesn’t have an issue with trying to dunk on a defender who’s in front of him. Buzelis is skilled and has shown the ability to stretch a defense with shooting but he will grab coaches’ attention with his two-handed slams.
Moses Wilson Moses Wilson 6'5" | SF Waubonsie Valley | 2025 State IL (M14Hoops) 2025 6’4
As a 6’4 wing Moses surprised me with two things. How well he can handle the ball and how effortlessly he gets off the ground when attacking the rim. Wilson is a long wiry player who had several highlights as I watched him this weekend. He is very deceptive when getting downhill. The minute you think he’s going to finish with a layup he dunks it. Moses is becoming a very underrated prospect.
Al Brooks Al Brooks 6'6" | SF Hansberry | 2025 State #239 Nation IL Jr. ( Hoops 4 Health ) 2025
A name we have been accustomed to talking about is this Hansberry wing. Brooks is a long and active forward who at times plays at the guard spot. He’s another long and agile player who had several dunks after getting on ball steals and turning them into one-handed fastbreak dunks. Al is a top 5 prospect who makes a lot of plays below and above the rim.
Oskar Kangas Oskar Kangas 6'6" | PF Iron Mountain | 2025 WI ( Wisconsin Crusaders ) 2025
Kangas had a big weekend in Chicago. At 6’7 he displayed some versatile moments from the perimeter and out of pick-and-roll plays where he had several dunks. Oskar is a low-post player who will try to dunk on you in an instant if you try to rotate over to him. Kangas has inserted himself in that group of players who have a chance to play D1 basketball if he continues to perform.
Hunter Gawron Hunter Gawron 6'6" | PF Niles North | 2025 State IL (Powerhouse Hoops) 2025
In the very first game of the event Hunter started with an alley-oop and followed it with another one later in the game. Gawron is a prospect who can sneak onto some D2 coaches’ list. At 6’5 he plays hard with toughness around the rim and is a workhorse on the boards. I think with the physical finishes around the rim, a consistent shooting stroke, and catching lobs it will be soon before coaches start setting eyes on Hunter.
