He is a throwback type of forward. Hunter was so good through the first three quarters. Scoring in the paint and not using any wasted movement was refreshing to see. At 6’6” Gawron has a solid frame and strength to battle in the paint. As mentioned before simple hook shots and turnaround mid-range jumpers were all he did for most of the game. Hunter is a sound rebounder because he boxes guys out the textbook way. A highlight moment for him was a blocked dunk attempt that he would also rebound and push on a fastbreak. Already committed to go prep I think a ton of Division 2 schools need to check him out. Hunter led all scorers with 21 points, 11 boards, and 2 blocks.

Gawron delivered a standout performance against Lane Tech, keeping the Vikings competitive in a game that initially seemed to favor Lane. He excelled as an interior scorer, showcasing a soft touch around the rim. A highlight of his night was an impressive backcut that he capped off with a powerful two-handed dunk. Gawron also demonstrated his value as a screener in the pick-and-roll, showing great awareness to roll or slip for effective finishes at the rim. He finished the game with 24 points, dominated the boards on both ends, and battled fiercely against Scantlebury in what became a highly entertaining matchup.

As mentioned, working off screens was his bread-and-butter vs Taft. Even showed an ability to drive to the rim, converting a couple tough buckets doing so. Smooth floater to start the second half. On defense, Gawron did a good job sliding his feet while forcing several misses on the interior.
