I was able to catch some prospects particularly at the wing position that I believe should be on anyone’s radar. Keep in mind I did not get to catch every game so If I missed you I’ll catch you soon.
6’4 2027 Jeremiah Grigsby ( Dallas Showtyme UA Rise 15u) is a kid that’s always been high on my radar but his recent growth spurt and transition into circuit play confirms everything I’ve been thinking. He a long guard and could even be considered a point guard for most of the game. He operates the floor with a high IQ always making the right play and pass weather on the perimeter or driving to the basket. He rebounds like a true big and finishes everything near the rim, his footwork on jump shots was also crisp to. Defensively he adds a element to any team that you just can’t teach, he had 5 blocks and several forced turnovers using his wingspan to frustrate both guards and bigs. Jeremiah is high level prospect that should make it on most peoples radar after this summer on the UA circuit but I’ll be the first to throw out he is a TOP 10 2027 kid if he performs anything like what I saw last night moving forward.
6’4 2027 Jordan Jones Jordan Jones 6'3" | SF Garland Rowlett | 2027 TX ( Dallas Showtyme UA Rise 15u) is another kid that seems to be flying under the radar but always delivers on both ends for his team. Long guard best positioned at the 3 he can run it up in a hurry when he gets going. He should show tough isolation skills getting downhill to the rim and finishing through contact or dishing it to a teammate. In addition his defense was solid on both the perimeter and the inside. He can also knock down the 3 if needed. Great prospect to have on your radar his improvement from last summer lets me know he’ll end up in the states 2027 top 50 rankings when it’s all said and done.
6′ 2026 Evan Miles Dickerson Evan Miles Dickerson 6'2" | SF Lone Star, Frisco, TX | 2026 TX (Second To None 3SSB 16u) has been impressive the last couple of times I caught him. He is wing transitioning from post play because of his size but he is one of those do it all type guys. His shot has been money from basically anywhere on the court with and without a hand in his face. He’s super physical on both sides driving to the rim and absorbing all kind of contact before finishing. Most impressive, his activity…he does alot of the dirty work inside for his squad steals, guarding post players, rebounding etc. while maintaining his game. Evan is someone to watch as he progresses moving forward.
6’3 2025 Joshua Shepard Joshua Shepard 6'4" | SG Crowley | 2025 TX (Texas Monarchs) was just overall tough last night draining multiple triples and finishes his game as the leading scorer. He can score in several ways but his shot has a pro like form on the wing that makes him dangerous. He also had some nice drives to the basket with smooth finishes. Defensively runs the floor, getting after loose balls, uses his wingspan to deflect passes. Joshua could be a big piece at Crowley next year and should be on your radar for the summer.
6’4 2024 Jeff Kirven (F.i.r.m. 17u) is a prostyle wing with crazy athleticism that is ready to go NOW. Not much on the court he doesn’t do but we’ll start with his aggressive nature attacking the rim and boards. He was able to have his way with backdowns and euro steps going to the rim and can shoot the 3 ball if needed. He gets up for big dunks at the rim as well. Defensively blocked some shots to the stands and overall was just a pest for the offense. Coming off a great season at Dunbar as one of the top players in the area, he is a prospect that is ready for the next level NOW.
