6’2 2025 Malachi Vaughn was one of the kids was one of those kids I didn’t get to catch in person but the footage never lies. He put on a show this weekend for Courtside United starting with his motor on both ends. Offensively he can shoot it but when your this crafty at the basket why not take the lay up. He has a versatile bag of finishes ranging from the floater to his go to euro step that’s so tough to stop. Defensively he makes play after play in the passing lanes and can get out in transition fast. He was a top 5 scorer this weekend and should be on everyone’s radar.
6’2 2024 Brandon Webber Brandon Webber 6'2" | CG Anna | 2024 TX also landed in the top scorers for the weekend and most of the time he is carrying the load offensively for a talented Team Esby. Big guard, solid frame ready for the next level he’s able to be efficient while playing within the offense. He has a quick first step and can take any contact on his way up and still finish at the rim. I also like his pull up jumper when he gets to his spots. Most impressive was his patience witching the offense waiting for screens, picking attack points and being able to make the right pass when needed. Brandon is a must catch player for the summer.
6’2 PG Tajon Spann Tajon Spann 5'11" | PG Walnut Grove (Prosper Tx ) | 2026 TX is a smooth ball handler who has a little swag to his game. He oporates wishing the offense and picks and chooses times when he’s in attack mode. When driving to the rim he uses his attention to dish dimes to shooters and bigs for easy buckets. On the perimeter he can really heat up, he recorded over 12 triples in the 3 games I caught him including 5 in a single game. His confident shooting makes him a high level prospect that should be on your radar for Ellis Ellis this summer.
Jackson Townsend Jackson Townsend 6'5" | SG Woodrow Wilson | 2025 TX had a super solid junior campaign in school ball and continues to be one of those hidden gems in a loaded 2025 class. The 6’5 combo guard was all over the place this weekend on both sides for a Blade Elite squad that only had 5/6 players. He can shoot it at high volumes with or without a hand in his face. He also is crafty in creating his shots off the dribble. At 6’5 his size is elite and he bring rebounding and shot blocking to your roster on the defensive side. Jackson is in for a BIG senior season and should be on the top of your radar for 2025 combo guards.
6′ 2025 PG Korbin Gunn was one of the top guards in the event this weekend. He’s a tough shifty guard that has a all game motor while maintaining a calm and collect mental which is a big plus for point guards. He was able to score in a variety of spots attacking the basket and absorbing contact through finishes. He also showed a high off ball IQ moving into gaps to get easy layups and shots. Defensively he was a pest, can guard you 94ft and then still pressure you on the perimeter. He created some easy transition opportunities for a talented Team First squad out of Oklahoma. Overall I’d say he’s a high level guy that is a must recruit prospect moving forward this summer.
