He knows how to escape dribble into a fluid mid-range step-back jumper. Moseley also posed a threat from beyond the arc, displaying rhythm in stop-and-pop and catch-and-shoot situations. On the defensive end, his rim protection skills were evident as he deterred drivers, forcing jump shots, and swatted shots in the paint, particularly against opposing big men.

may have had the overall best individual performance at Hoopfest. He was a man amongst boys and used his pro like frame to bully defenders on the inside. He also can heat up fast shooting wise which makes him nearly impossible to contain. He lead a tough Stony Point squad with 30 points, 8 Rebs & 8 Assist while shooting 14-19 and is the real deal. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the draft in 2 years from now.

Josiah is a player that I didn’t know much about coming into the week, but I was instantly impressed with. I got to see him for the first time on Wednesday in a Bracket Play Matchup. Moseley is a Strong-Body Scorer, who has a High Basketball IQ. He is at his best playing off the dribble where he can pull up from the Mid-Range or can get to the basket and play off two feet. The latter is a quality that a lot of College Coaches are looking for, which explains the recent surge in his recruiting resulting in offers from Texas, Texas Tech, Texas Christian, and Oklahoma State among others.

Mosley showcased excellent timing and chemistry with his guards. His mobility and ball skills allowed him to initiate the offense and even take the ball coast to coast for scoring opportunities. Mosley’s ability to adapt to the defense and find his spots on the court was impressive. He utilized a wide range of counter moves off the dribble, including spins, step-throughs, and creative finishes over defenders’ hands. His undeniable presence in the post on both ends of the court, combined with his competitiveness and desire to win, further highlighted his dominance throughout the game. Josiah Mosley’s outstanding performance not only put everyone on notice but also solidified his status as one of the most skilled frontcourt prospects in the country.
