2025 Hudson Greer Hudson Greer 6’7″ | SG Austin Lake Travis | 2025 State #50 Nation TX is no stranger to big games or hectic environments but he seemed to have a point to prove this weekend at Hoopfest in a convincing win over Waxahachie. He used his athletic ability to play above the rim, attacking and drawing fouls making a living at the line. His shot also continuous to improve not only from deep but his pull up off the dribble and catch and shoot as well. Hudson put up 29 points and added 12 rebounds to top it off. Currently ranked in the national top 100, he’ll continue to climb in the rankings as powerhouse Lake Travis looks to make a state run.
6’8 Villanova commit Josiah Moseley Josiah Moseley 6’7″ | SF Stony Point | 2024 State #96 Nation TX may have had the overall best individual performance at Hoopfest. He was a man amongst boys and used his pro like frame to bully defenders on the inside. He also can heat up fast shooting wise which makes him nearly impossible to contain. He lead a tough Stony Point squad with 30 points, 8 Rebs & 8 Assist while shooting 14-19 and is the real deal. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the draft in 2 years from now.
2025 King Grace King Grace 6’5″ | SG Waxahachie | 2025 State #36 Nation TX is one of the state’s top guards and even though his team didn’t the get the wins the hoped for he let that be known. He plays with a profession like pace stopping and starting on a dime finding any openings he can to attack the rim. He also has a quick pull up jumper that he knocks down no space needed. Super athletic he finishes as the rim almost floating through his finishes making everything look to easy. King had 34/5 against some elite defenders and is one of the states top offensive threats no matter what class.
Highlights
6’6 Isaiah Sealy was a fresh face for me and another National ranked prospect that proved comfortable finding the rim. Strong frame, he plays and finishes through contact and has a good eye for his teammates when defenses crash on him. He also has potential to knock down shots if left open. His downhill play proved to be to effective to slow down as he finished with 28 points and 8 rebounds against a SOLID Dallas Carter defense.
6’4 Brandon Stores was my top graded player from the weekend. Just a 2025 he had me glued to the screen both games wondering “who is the kid.” Not sure how he is currently ranked outside of the top 100 but he is clearly a top 100 prospect in the country based off his performances at Hoopfest. Big frame, he’s a do it all type of guy that doesn’t have a solid position showing lots a versatility from the guard to the post spot. Smooth handles he used to attack downhill several time mixed with variety of midrange and even a couple 3 balls. I liked everything I seen this weekend and his stock is guaranteed on the rise. He finished averages 30 points and 5 rebounds in the 2 elite matchups.
