Here we take a look at some of the 2027 standouts who made the strongest impressions.    A high-level floor spacer and elite movement shooter who excelled in both the half-court and transition game. Williams showcased outstanding footwork, quickly getting his feet set from a variety of movement actions before flowing into a rapid release with a high follow-through and exceptional elevation, creating one of the smoothest catch-and-shoot motions in the gym. As a ball-handler, Howard Williams consistently created advantages through advanced pace control, tight dribbles, change-of-speed, using counters that generated separation for pull-up jumpers, mid-range turnarounds, and powerful downhill drives.     Dawson Battie's next-level versatility made him stand out as the offensive engine and the heart of the defense, serving as the foundation of everything his team accomplished on both ends of the floor. Battie's ability to score efficiently from the post, mid-range, and around the basket made him a constant source of high-quality opportunities. Whether setting a screen before sealing, reposting, establishing deep position, facing up, or utilizing polished drop-step footwork, Battie consistently generated quality looks. Defensively, his presence alone altered opponents' shot selection while anchoring the paint.     Reese Alston was capable of getting a paint touch or layup whenever he wanted, making blowing by defenders look effortless with his explosive first step. He consistently attacked downhill after one or two hard dribbles, displaying sharp change-of-direction ability by stopping on a dime and instantly shifting angles. Nearly impossible to contain, Alston could get wherever he wanted on the court, playing as though the game had slowed down for him, allowing him to maneuver through traffic as if defenders were cones while smoothly countering every help defender on his way to the basket where Alston was at his best. He also proved to be one of the best finishers in the country, showcasing elite creativity, exceptional body control, and the ability to contort midair while finishing with either hand from awkward angles, through contact, and over elite rim protectors.     A hyperactive guard with incredible hustle in pursuit of the basketball, making him a game changer in passing lanes, on the glass, and around loose balls. He also showed the athleticism to crash in for putback dunks. Everything Hopkins did was explosive and played at top speed. He was an extremely difficult one-on-one cover due to his quick-twitch combo dribbles that consistently broke defenders down, resulting in straight-line drives or timely shots off the dribble.     This 6-foot-8 wing ran the floor like a guard, covering tremendous ground with long, effortless strides that made him a dangerous transition finisher and lob threat. Williams also showcased a smooth short-range jumper, comfortably facing up or taking one dribble before rising into a soft, short jumper with excellent touch.
