He displayed great ball handling skills, showing an understanding of how to create his own shot. He knows how to escape dribble into a fluid mid-range step-back jumper. Moseley also posed a threat from beyond the arc, displaying rhythm in stop-and-pop and catch-and-shoot situations. On the defensive end, his rim protection skills were evident as he deterred drivers, forcing jump shots, and swatted shots in the paint, particularly against opposing big men.
Braden Hausen Braden Hausen 6’7″ | PF Amarillo | 2024 State #257 Nation TX showcased his pop-out and spot-up shooting prowess from the start, effortlessly splashing shots through the net by going 4-for-4 from beyond the arc in the first quarter alone, even creating an and-1 over two defenders from the corner. While playing off the ball, he moved around the baseline to the perimeter with solid speed, resulting in either an open shot, a lane to drive, or an extra pass. Defensively, Hausen excelled, playing with high energy, executing traps, recovering with great timing, instinctively helping, pressuring the ball on the perimeter with strong lateral movements, using his length to limit space and vision, and, most importantly, disrupting plays with his anticipation skills and ability to read an offense’s tendencies.
Marcellus Parks Marcellus Parks 6’4″ | SG Lufkin | 2025 TX showcased defensive stopper potential, demonstrating half-court and perimeter ball pressure prowess. His smooth, tight, and precise ball handling, along with combo moves, shook defenders side to side, creating scoring angles when going left. In transition, Parks was most dangerous while picking up speed to the rack, proving to be a dynamic finisher with an explosive bounce. His knack for finishing amidst traffic and against contact came in handy for game-tying layups as time wound down in overtime. After knocking down two free throws with 18 seconds remaining, his game-winning foul shots secured the victory as Tyler missed a go-ahead three-pointer at the buzzer.
Nathan Scott Nathan Scott 6’3″ | SG La Grange | 2024 State TX stood out as a exceptional transition player, using his great speed, good hops, and impressive body control to make impactful plays at the basket as he left his feet.
