2025 Storm Classic Standouts – Part 2

During high school season, he showed a much improved jumper that he made with efficiency. This weekend, he had that jumper, but also showed an ability to initiate the offense with and hit the open man with a pass. It'd be unfair to call him Robin to [player_tooltip player_id='1438266' first='Joshua' last='Gibson']'s Batman, simply cause Robin couldn't hold a candle to what Simpson did. He had 19 points in the championship win and ended the game with a 2 handed throw down. He showed that he can be an elite shot maker and scorer, even against top notch competition. Day's straight line speed with and without the ball made him a very tough cover. Plus, he can pull up off the dribble and bury a jumper. Is it just me or does Champagne always seem to stand out at the Storm Classic? Or it could just be really in any big event. Either way, he's a gamer and he did again this year. Champagne is a top notch shooter that has a knack for finding space and creating shot opportunities. After a handful of football recruiting visits, he suited up for the [program_tooltip program_id='2077033' first='West' last='Michigan Lakers'] Lakers 3SGB squad and had himself a weekend. There's no denying that he's an elite all around athlete with quickness, speed and shiftiness. Those were all on display this weekend.
