Day has been playing at a high level for a while now and will be a must see with his Mount Pleasant squad. Day is a scorer at heart with a jumper that he can get hot with from behind the arc. When he does, he can and will score in bunches. He’s developed his handles and ability to attack off the bounce and from mid range as well.

Day will be fun to watch this season. He’s proved repeatedly that he can be a high level scorer against quality competition. Day can light up a scoreboard from behind the arc and has the ability to really groove his jumper. But step out on him if you dare because his offensive bag is full. If you do, Day can put the ball on the ground and attack the rim.

After leading REAL Basketball to a 4-1 weekend at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Finals in Indianapolis averaging 21.5 points per game, Day was even better the following weekend in Chicago. The 6’2″ point guard put up 24 points per game while shooting 9-22 from three-point range in four games at The Last Dance. That shooting ability, along with what he can do creating his own off of the dribble, made the Mount Pleasant High School product one of the best scorers on the Prep Hoops Circuit throughout the spring and summer months.

Day was at Bowling Green State University for their elite camp over the weekend. He had quite the showing at the event. Day flaunted his deep range on his jumper, but also proved that he’s a legitimate 3 level scorer. He attacked and finished on both sides of the rim. Day also showed a tough mid range game.

Day was absolutely terrific with REAL 17u in Grand Rapids. He showed that he can be an elite shot maker and scorer, even against top notch competition. Day’s straight line speed with and without the ball made him a very tough cover. Plus, he can pull up off the dribble and bury a jumper. Day’s weekend was highlighted by a 37 point explosion in a win against Indiana Game.

Day has had a lot of big days this season. He came into the high school season riding an excellent grassroots campaign. Day has turned himself into a prospect that college coaches need to recruit. He has an innate ability to find buckets and seems to be at his best when he plays aggressively on the offensive end. Day can get downhill and manufacture buckets as well as pull up and bury a jumper.

Day was tremendous through grassroots season and that carried through to game 1 of his high school season. He was critical in his team’s 62-49 win against Dow. Day notched a points and rebounds double-double, finishing the contest with 31 and 10. He seems ready for a huge high school season.

Day had a huge grassroots season with REAL and it ended in that same manner. He had some really big scoring games where he finished in the open floor and also finished with creativity in traffic. Day also showed that he could up and go through the defender with strength.
