There were talented players that made the round of 4 that I’m really hoping we all get to see during grassroots season. Let’s take a look at some players that we should watch during the spring and summer that made it to the semifinals of the playoffs.
We did a state finals version yesterday that can be found below!
Moore led Ann Arbor Huron to the Division 1 semifinals. The recent Iowa State commit has the unique combination of strength and explosiveness needed to excel at the highest levels. Moore is an electric guard that both beat defenders to space as well as just flat out take it from them.
Cull and his Flint Powers squad advanced all the way to the Division 2 semifinals. He’s developed some really nice versatility to his game and that will be on display as grassroots season gets going. Cull has great balance and can use the jump stop and pivot to create opportunities. He’s turned himself into a true multi level scorer.

Boos played both JV and Varsity with Chelsea this year. Pretty impressive when you consider that Chelsea had a collegiate level backcourt already this season. Boos was quietly one of the most improved players in the SEC. Watch for him to use his shot ready approach and good decision making with the Midwest Stampede this grassroots season.

Heuker was a high impact freshman this season with McBain and a key part of the team’s run to the Final 4. He wasn’t intimidated by the big stage that’s for sure. Heuker racked up a team high 14 points and grabbed 5 boards in a hard fought semifinal defeat. He has a mature game, both mentally and physically.

Jipping was a part of a memorable playoff run by Zeeland West. The Dux graduate a lot of talent from this season and next year will be huge for Jipping. He’s a very talented guard that can play on or off the ball with effectiveness. Jipping showed out all the way back to the fall at the PH Michigan Top 250 where he was part of the lone undefeated team. It feels like he just hasn’t lost much in the last 8 months and is a player to keep a close eye on this spring.
