With the recent update of the class of 2026 rankings, we will take a look at how the rankings are broke down by position.

Here's a look at part one of the top wings in the class, ranking some of the top shooting guards and small forwards in the sophomore class.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='1782652' first='Kai' last='McKnight'] | 6'2” SG | Bishop Ireton (#71 Overall)

McKnight is a talented guard who is going to continue to get better moving forward, as he has a lot of natural tools and ability. He's a good athlete who can get up and down in transition, he has great instincts defensively, he finishes well with both hands and he can drill it from deep too.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='2347783' first='Carson' last='Cook'] | 6'3” SG | Patriot (#70 Overall)

Cook is emerging as one of the next guys up for a Patriot team that will lose much of their production next year, but he's proven his worth off the bench this year. He has great size on the wing and a good frame to guard, he can drill it from deep when he's left open and he brings great energy on both ends.

23) [player_tooltip player_id='2252323' first='Nickolaos' last='Karageorgos'] | 6'1” SG | McLean (#69 Overall)

Karageorgos is emerging as a player to watch in the NOVA public schools with his all-around skillset and ability to score. He's a knock down shooter from deep who works well off the ball to get open, he is a good cutter who finds space and he's a crafty finisher around the rim.

22) [player_tooltip player_id='1963550' first='Ryan' last='Corallo'] | 6'1” SG | WT Woodson (#65 Overall)

Corallo came into the season after starring on JV and immediately jumped into a role as the microwave scorer off the bench. The 6'1” shooting guard is a player who can hit from anywhere on the floor, he stays shot ready from deep and he's able to attack closeouts and get in the lane where he's a good finisher as well.

21) [player_tooltip player_id='1782689' first='Faron' last='Friend'] | 6'5” SF | Glen Allen (#63 Overall)

Friend is a guy we probably have too low on this list after he followed up an impressive freshman season by stepping into the go-to role and shining for his Glen Allen squad. He has so many intriguing qualities as he has great size and length on the perimeter, he has good ball skills with the ability to put it on the deck and shoot it from deep and he can guard and play multiple positions.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='2252312' first='Justin' last='Jones'] | 6'1” SG | Atlantic Shores (#62 Overall)

Jones has already shown his ability in his first two high school seasons and he's only going to get better as he continues to grow into his body. He's a very strong guard who can get downhill and play through contact, he has a high IQ as a playmaker and defender and he can knock it down from deep when he's off the ball.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='2252311' first='Deuce' last='Trotter'] | 6'3” SG | South County (#61 Overall)

Trotter continued to impress as a sophomore both on the court and on the football team as he's a special type of athlete who is very hard to matchup with. He's dynamic in transition as he has great speed in the open floor, he gets downhill and is a powerful and athletic finisher at the rim, he can score it from multiple levels and he has huge upside on the defensive end.

18) [player_tooltip player_id='1489544' first='Alex' last='Blanchard'] | 6'2” SG | Douglas Freeman (#58 Overall)

While Blanchard doesn't play for the best school in the Richmond area, he's emerged as one of the top young scoring guards in the area. At 6'2” he has a strong build and he uses it to finish at the rim and rebound, he can drill it from deep both with his feet set and on the move and he continues to improve his ability to create in isolation situations.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='2347784' first='Aidan' last='McKeating'] | 5'10” SG | Princess Anne (#56 Overall)

McKeating found a niche for this PA team this year, and played an important role as a lock down defender and efficient playmaker. He's very smart defensively moving his feet well and willing to sacrifice his body, he plays with an all-out hustle style and he picks his spots to score it and makes plays for others.

16) Gray Chamberlain | 6'5” SG | Potomac School (#52 Overall)

Chamberlain is one to keep an eye on moving forward, as he checks the boxes physically and he has a 3 and d archetype that college coaches will love. He has good range and a quick release from deep, he consistently makes shots and works off the ball to get open and he is scrappy defender and rebounder too.
