With the recent update of the class of 2026 rankings, we will take a look at how the rankings are broke down by position.

Here's a look at part two of the top guards in the class, ranking some of the top point and combo guards in the sophomore class.

15) [player_tooltip player_id='1782693' first='Dominic' last='Nguyen'] | 5'11” PG | Seton (#35 Overall)

Nguyen is following in his brothers footsteps as the next great floor general at Seton, and he's led them to a lot of success making them a threat in the VISAA D2. He's a high IQ and very smart point guard that just knows how to play as he makes great reads, he handles pressure and creates shots for his teammates and he can score it in different ways when he needs to.

14) [player_tooltip player_id='2252297' first='Ty' last='Harris'] | 6'1” PG | Flint Hill (#31 Overall)

Harris is quite the athlete who is also a star on the football field, and he can flat out get to it on both ends of the floor and is capable of putting up big numbers. He's very hard to stay in front of with his quick first step and blazing speed off the bounce, he can get hot and knock down shots from all over both off the catch and off the bounce and he can sit down and make plays defensive too.

13) [player_tooltip player_id='1782687' first='Phenix' last='Card'] | 5'11” PG | Hayfield (#30 Overall)

Card was one of the players who took a big jump with his production on this new look Hayfield team, taking over the ball handling duties and leading them to another great season. He has a tight handle and is shifty off the bounce, he can touch the paint and make plays for others, he's a good shooter from deep and he sets the tone on both ends of the floor.

12) [player_tooltip player_id='2347792' first='Julian' last='Burgdolf'] | 5'10” PG | St. Stephen's St. Agnes (#27 Overall)

Burdgolf really stepped up this year when SSSAS needed a PG, as he has brought a lot of toughness to their team and just makes winning plays across the board. He's a very good defender at the point of attack who moves his feet and turns ball handlers, he is shifty off the bounce and touches the paint to make plays and he always brings leadership and a play style that's easy to follow.

11) [player_tooltip player_id='2301294' first='Akim' last='Iscandari'] | 5'11” PG | Potomac School (#25 Overall)

Iscandari is new to the rankings and has made quite the impression with his all-out fearless style of play and his ability to make plays on both ends of the floor. He's a tough player on both ends who is a dog defensively who will pick up and has quick hands, he's a good athlete who can touch the paint and make plays for himself and others and he's a good rebounder for his position too.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='2347779' first='Nick' last='Byrd'] | 5'10” PG | Hopewell (#19 Overall)

Byrd is a throwback style floor general who doesn't care about his individual statistics at all and his game is completely immersed in helping his team win. He's shifty off the bounce and able to touch the paint and make plays in both pick-and-rolls and isolation, he's a high IQ defender who moves his feet and is always in the right place and he picks his spots and scores it when he needs to.

9) [player_tooltip player_id='2252294' first='Jemon' last='Price'] | 6'2” CG | Westfield (#15 Overall)

Price transferred to Wakefield this season and immediately became one of the top guards in NOVA public schools and is leading a turn around of the program. The 6'2” combo is a dynamic playmaker who can use his speed and shiftiness off the bounce to get in the paint, he can finish in traffic when he gets downhill, he can create space and make shots from multiple levels and he's a high IQ floor general too.

8) [player_tooltip player_id='1446198' first='Carmelo' last='Swinson'] | 6'2" CG | Norcom (#14 Overall)

Swinson has been one of the most talented guards around since he was in middle school, and he is now starting to take the right measures toward his game that will make him highly recruited moving forward. He's fixed his body and lost his baby fat which has made him much quicker and explosive with the ball in his hands, he's a walking bucket who is a true three level scorer who can fill it up in bunches from all over and he has great confidence already and just continues to work

7) [player_tooltip player_id='1963397' first='Chris' last='Morrison'] | 6'0” PG | West Potomac (#11 Overall)

Morrison may not look like the most intimidating player in warm ups, but when the ball is tipped and he's on the floor he's a dangerous guard who can run the show and put up big numbers as well. He's a dead eye shooter who can knock it down off the catch or creating space off the bounce, he gets downhill and is a crafty finisher and delivers tough passes and he plays with a lot of toughness on both ends with a chip to him.

6) [player_tooltip player_id='1963392' first='Keon' last='Mitchell'] | 6'2” PG | Norview (#10 Overall)

Mitchell is part of a super talented group of guards out of the 757 in this class, and he's been nothing short of fantastic since day one of his freshman season. He's a certified bucket getter who can fill it up from all over and has a knack for taking over when his team needs him to. He's a big and strong guard who is can get to spots off the bounce and uses his size well to finish through traffic, he can create shots off the ball and move off the ball as a shooter and he brings a competitive drive and toughness on both ends of the floor.
