I will certainly miss some players off the list but I’m doing my best. This will not feature some of the top players because everyone already knows to watch Malachi Moreno Malachi Moreno 6'11" | C Great Crossing | 2025 State #21 Nation KY , Vince Dawson and Zander Carter Zander Carter 6'6" | SG Ashland Blazer | 2025 State #296 Nation KY .
Ty Price Ty Price 5’8″ | PG Butler County | 2025 State KY gets all the headlines for Butler County but for Butler County to have any chance against Evangel Christian, Rice will need to be able to keep their bigs off the glass as well as providing a post scoring presence.
Highlights
The big two of Moreno and Dawson are known commodities but Junius is the engine that makes the Ferrari go. Burrell pushes the ball with great pace and can knock down threes. If the Warhawks cut down nets Saturday night, Junius will have been a major reason why.
Adair could be a sleeper to make a Final 4 or better run at Rupp and Loy is one of the best players in the tournament that most haven’t heard of. Connor is a 2,000 point scorer who has a D1 offer from McNeese state. Adair will need him to be good to make a run.

Berry went from Trinity last year to Ballard this year (never played) and popped back up at Trinity after Christmas. Once he was back with the Rocks, he gave them another credible wing threat that can score and defend at a high level. For Trinity to make a deep run, they will need a strong week from Keriawn but he does add another dimension to Trinity.

Fraley missed half of the season but is back now and making an impact for the Maroons. Carson reminds me of Isaiah Briscoe with the way he can bully guards to the rim and will knock down shots when left open.
Highlights
Kirk is one of the most consistent players in the second region but also one of the most overlooked because of the 3 D1 Seniors on the Lyon roster. Bray averages 10 points and 6 rebounds per game and doesn’t have plays called for him because he can score in the flow of the game.
Highlights
One of the top 27s in Kentucky, Langhi has had a big season for the Marshalls and I believe he was the MVP of the first region tournament. He’s got NBA genetics thanks to his dad and both sisters have been big time athletes. Look for Matthew to start making a name for himself while at Rupp.
Highlights
Starks is a long and athletic forward who makes some highlight plays. He’s already gotten offered by a couple of D1 schools despite averaging 5 points and 4 rebounds as the 5th option for Newport. Having said that, he’s going to be a stud in a year or two and it’s possible his breakout starts at Rupp Arena this week.
