It’s no surprise Obenyah had a breakout performance in the biggest game of the season. The 6’4 playmaking guard has already established himself as one of the top prospect in the NorCal 2026 class. He repeatedly forced his way by DI defenders, using his body, and strength to finish off tough drives into the paint. He rebounded good, showed off his handles, and passing leading the transition break making good decisions. He’s a top notch defender when he locks in.
Highlights
He’s a tough minded Oakland point guard that led his team to the State Title in his usual way. He ended up with a triple double. His stock continues to rise as he’s been playing consistent basketball all season. He’s confident in his abilities as a guard who can lead a team at the top with vision, passing and decision making, while producing points regularly.
Plettner had a break-out game, from the start the 6’7 Junior was aggressive, and actively going after rebounds, getting 3 blocks in the 1st qtr of action. He made aggressive moves when he had the ball in the paint finishing strong around the rim. His aggressive play on the defensive side of the ball, along with his newfound presence in the paint caused problems for the other team.
The 6’4 forward is probably one the most underrated prospects in NorCal. He was the X Factor in leading this team with his toughness. At 6’4 he had the presence and physical style of play to somewhat control the paint. He’s a tough rebounder, and defender, that doesn’t mind mixing it up in the paint. He’ll get his points in the paint, and work the perimeter using strong drives on occasion.
Highlights
He’s big and strong still learning that he might be the strongest player on the court. He has a good skill set, but most effective on this team aggressively working his way around the paint area playing tough defense, going after rebounds, and taking it up strong in the paint. We’ve seen him handle the ball along the perimeter and produce points away from the basket.
Rollins gets the 6th man award, he had a break-out game and was a key player off the bench, ending the game tied for top scoring honors with 20pts. He played unafraid and aggressive, as he took the ball strong to the basket when the opportunity arose in transition or beating the defender in half-court situations. He made key 3’s from the corner, was hard to get by on the defensive side of the ball.
