Impressed with his ability to handle the ball well for a player that looks like a 6-1, 235lb linebacker. Used his wide lower body to finish through contact with regularity throughout the season. Push the ball after pulling down defensive rebounds…Knocked down the 3 with consistency off the dribble or spotting up. But it was his ability to see the floor and make plays for his teammates, making sound decisions with the ball.

It’s easy to see the appeal of someone like Benton-McDonald, who possesses so many tools and checks so many boxes. He’s a long, skilled, athletic guard with excellent size. Benton-McDonald is a useful creator with craftiness, vision, and the ability to score in a variety of different ways. He’s a willing rebounder, defender, and poses a reliable threat in transition. Benton-McDonald can dictate the action or production within a role. Between his general growth and continued upside, it’ll be fun to watch him progress going forward.
