Akeem was one of the quickest players at Sunday’s event and was flying around the floor making plays. In the 1 on 1 and 3 on 3 sessions, he had no trouble blowing around defenders to make strong takes to the rim. He is a trustworthy ball handler and was making some impressive passes to teammates for scores. There was one play where he blew by a defender then converted at the rim with a quick left handed finish on the right side of the basket. Everett was one of the shortest players in the event, but more than made up for it with the effort he brought on both sides of the ball.
Joey Wise

Joey was doing it all on the offensive side of the ball, having many different ways he could score. He can stretch the floor, looking very confident shooting the ball from beyond the arc, knocking down several open triples. He could run in transition, as I saw him convert on a tough acrobatic finish in space. He is also pretty strong for a guard, using that to crash the offensive boards, resulting in put back baskets for himself.
Armani Hicks

Armani brought great energy to Sunday’s event and was making plays all day. He impressed me most with the presence he provided on the defensive end with his on-ball defending. He came away with multiple steals, being able to poke the ball free from opposing guards and jump passing lanes. With the ball in his hands, he could use his speed to blow by defenders and make highlight reel passes to teammates for assists as well.
Eddie was going to work in the 1 on 1 and 3 on 3 drills, creating shots for himself using the dribble. He had a bunch of different moves he could go to, making it very easy for him to create space from his defender. He was then able to get to his spots in the mid-range or from beyond the arc for pull-up jumpers. The 6’2” guard is incredibly shifty and was very hard to stay in front of when I saw him with the ball.
Highlights
Deacon is a 6-foot guard, but impressed me most with his ability to make a difference inside. He was able to match up with the tallest player on the other team when his team did not have a forward in the game. He is an excellent shot blocker and could time opponents shots up well. He could also rebound well for his position and convert on finishes inside with either hand.
Ahmed was a guard who stood out to me with his skill and decision making on Sunday. He is a good ball handler and passer, being able to bring the ball up the floor and get teammates involved. Ahmod could also push the pace when he got the ball in space, creating transition opportunities for his team. He had a very impressive bounce pass to a back cutting teammates for an easy layup. Ahmod was also a willing shooter from the perimeter.
