Below is a review of the latest happenings on the recruiting scene in southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond).

SEPA Recruiting News:

[player_tooltip player_id='1281777' first='Greg' last='Guidinger'] – 6'7″ / 2024 / Central York / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Shooting Guard: The YAIAA Division I POY averaged 19 points per contest this season while guiding CY to the 6A state tournament. Recently St. Francis (PA) hosted Guidinger for their contest against Le Moyne.

[player_tooltip player_id='991423' first='Jamal' last='Hicks Jr'] – 6'2″ / 2025 / Penn Charter / Philly Revolution / Combo Guard: In his first season at Penn Charter, Hicks posted 12.4 points per game while shooting 34% from behind the arc. His upside is ridiculous which is why Drexel brought Hicks on campus for their tilt with Northeastern.

[player_tooltip player_id='1589088' first='Justin' last='Houser'] – 7'0” / 2025 / Phelps School / Tam Final Red / Center: Houser was key part of a Phelps team that advanced to the PAISSA state tournament championship game. In fact, he posted 20 points in Phelps' semifinal win over ANC. Somewhere in between PAISAA state tourney games, this big lefty with a feathery jumper squeezed in an unofficial visit to St. Joe's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1460771' first='Jacob' last='Nguyen'] – 6'3” / 2025 / Spring Ford / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Shooting Guard: In 2023-24 Nguyen was a 1st Team All-PAC selection, eclipsed the 1,000-point career scoring mark and pushed Spring Ford to the 6A state tournament. So, it should not be a surprise that last month he added an offer from University of Pennsylvania to his list. Then last week Penn was on campus to watch one of Nguyen's games.

Izaiah Pasha – 6'4” / 2024 / St. Thomas More (CT) / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Combo Guard: The former Cardinal O'Hara standout (2023 1st Team All-PCL) is completing a post graduate year in Connecticut, and the extra year is paying off. Pasha is averaging 16 ppg., is the No. 6 ranked prospect in the state and just added an offer from Sacred Heart to his list.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271429' first='Kai' last='Shinholster'] – 6'3″ / 2025 / Penn Charter / [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] / Shooting Guard: Shinholster was just named as a 2nd Team All-FSL selection after he averaged 10 points per night during his junior campaign. Last week, Shinholster was on the St. Joe's campus for the Hawks win over Fordham.

[player_tooltip player_id='1383005' first='Cameron' last='Wallace'] – 6'5” / 2025 / Westtown School / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Shooting Guard: After a monster season that included pouring in 26 points in the PAISAA state tourney quarterfinals, Wallace was a 1st Team All-Friends School League selection. Earlier this month Temple hosted Wallace for a home game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1287318' first='Carter' last='Wamsley'] – 6'5” / 2025 / Eastern York / York Ballers / Wing: Wamsley is a hybrid-forward prospect who was just named a 1st Team All-YAIAA (Div. II) selection. Last week he scored 20 points in Eastern's District 3-4A championship game win. Recently Princeton hosted Wamsley for their game against Cornell.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136565' first='Jake' last='West'] – 6'2″ / 2025 / Penn Charter / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] EYBL / Point Guard: Lately West (1st Team All-Inter-Ac selection) has been an extremely busy prospect. First, Drexel hosted him for their game against Northeastern. Then Penn hosted him for their matchup with Columbia. He already holds an offer from Penn. West is an elite point guard who averaged 14.3 points per game and shot 34% from deep in 2023-24.

SEPA Recent Commitments:

[player_tooltip player_id='933048' first='Tristen' last='Guillouette'] – 6'9″ / 2024 / George School / NJ Scholars EYBL / Power Forward: A week ago Guillouette committed to FGCU. The Eagles are getting one of the biggest stock risers in the Class of 2024. This season he posted 19.2 points and 10.5 boards per game while shooting 60% from the field. His 29 points and 11 boards effort during a win over Rocktop Academy was extraordinarily impressive.

Avin Myers – 6'2″ / 2024 / Spring Grove / York Ballers / Wing: After his senior campaign Myers was named to the 1st Team All-YAIAA (Division I) list. Myers is a career 1,000-point scorer and this season posted games of 32 and 41 points. This week Myers announced he has committed to Albright College (D3).
