The five-foot-eleven-inch Drake is such a competitor as I won’t be shocked to see him have a crazy run at state. Drake is the ultimate team type point guard, can facilitate your offense or take over scoring.
Rising six-foot-six-inch prospect over the past year or so Shaun Wysocki Shaun Wysocki 6'7" | SF Rochester Century | 2024 State MN scored 20 points for Century. Wysocki is committed to MSUM to play for coach Bergstraser. Century also got 18 points from Blaine Nash. Nash is a six-foot-two-inch 2024 senior guard who has the ability to shoot it from the outside, quickness off the dribble, and enough athleticism to take a steal and dunk it in transition.
Farmington vs Lakeville South – Farmington took care of Lakeville South 69-52 behind 24 points from Tyler Beckwith Tyler Beckwith 6'5" | SF Farmington | 2024 State MN and 12 points from forward Brandon Hcrncir. Beckwith is a six-foot-five-inch senior wing that can play both forward positions who is committed to Dakota State. He plays with a pace that keeps defenders off balance. Brandon Hcrncir, also a 2024 Senior is an ideal stretch four on offense who stands six-foot-seven-inches.
Lakeville South got 16 points from electric guard Demarcus Burks and 14 points from six-foot-four-inch left guard Ryan Johnson Ryan Johnson 6'4" | SG Lakeville South | 2024 State MN , their two seniors. Burks stands six-foot-four-inches and he’s an ideal secondary ball handler, athletic guard. He’s committed to play at Northern State. Johnson, who is committed to Concordia St Paul, is also a good secondary ball handler. The lefty shooter can hit from the outside and has excellent vision in the open floor.
Minnetonka vs Prior Lake – Minnetonka took a 17 point lead at half and beat Prior Lake 97-74. The Lakers were coming off an impressive victory over Eden Prairie in which 2025 wing Norbu Jenpa Norbu Jenpa 6'4" | SF Prior Lake | 2025 State MN had 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Versus the Skippers Norbu scored 16 points but he wasn’t enough versus the 20 points from 2024 Senior Greyson Uelmen Greyson Uelmen 6'2" | PG Minnetonka | 2024 State MN , 17 from 2025 Junior Duke Richardson Duke Richardson 6'2" | CG Minnetonka | 2025 State MN , 16 from Senior Kayden Wells Kayden Wells 6'6" | PF Minnetonka | 2024 State MN , 15 from North Dakota commit Andy Stefonowicz Andy Stefonowicz 6'2" | PG Minnetonka | 2024 State MN , and 14 from 2024 Senior Jordan Cain Jordan Cain 6'3" | SF Minnetonka | 2024 State MN .
Cain, a six-foot-three-inch wing that is explosive in transition as he’s an explosive leaper, and can stretch the floor on offense. He can guard up multiple positions is a swiss army knife on defense for the Skippers.
Greyson Uelmen Greyson Uelmen 6'2" | PG Minnetonka | 2024 State MN is a six-foot guard whose stock has risen significantly with his play this basketball season. Playing off Stefonowicz, Uelmen has found opportunity in space to score, and has been such a stifling defender on the perimeter.
In the 2A Section 5 quarters, Blake behind 2024 Senior guard Grayson Okoronkwo Grayson Okoronkwo 6'2" | SG Blake | 2024 State MN 30 points beat Southwest Christian 81-66 avenging a loss from February 28th. Okoronkwo who’s been a good finisher and mid-range shooter really stepped up beyond the 3-point line shooting this season. He’s really carried the Bears through the 2nd half of the season.
Brayden Beckering Brayden Beckering 6'3" | SG Southwest Christian | 2025 State MN scored 21 for Southwest Christian, his fourth straight 20 point or more game. The six-foot-three-inch 2025 guard has been SWCHS best player this season with a combination of inside scoring on drives and outside shooting.
In the 3A Section 2 semi-final New Ulm got 56 points from three 2024 senior’s Nathan Firle Nathan Firle 6'9" | C New Ulm | 2024 State MN , Colton Benson Colton Benson 6'5" | SF New Ulm | 2024 State MN , and James Osborne James Osborne 6'2" | SG New Ulm | 2024 State MN in their 69-62 win over Mankato West. Firle, a six-foot-nine-inch post, controls the middle with shot blocking and rebounding. Benson, a six-foot-five-inch wing, stretches the floor with his excellent shooting.
Mankato West 2024 Senior guard Landon Dimler Landon Dimler 6'5" | SG Mankato West | 2024 State MN scored 15 while Maurice Staley Maurice Staley 6'2" | SG Mankato West | 2025 MN and Mason Durose scored 14 apiece. Dimler, a six-foot-five-inch guard recently offered by Bemidji State, can create for others from wing, drive hard on the seam, and stretch the floor from the perimeter.
