These players have shown significant improvement over the summer/fall periods and made notable impacts on the court this season. For this list, look at some impressive 2025 stars that could play big-time D1 ball.
Myles Mayfield Myles Mayfield 6'7" | SF Edgewater | 2025 State #208 Nation FL | F | 2025 | Edgewater | @MayfieldMyles
2023 stats: 14.2 ppg – 7.8 rebounds – 2.1 blocks
There are plenty of D1 colleges who can benefit from a lengthy forward who forces attention because of his size and high motor while providing solid rim protection on the defensive end. Mayfield fits that description and has made a name for himself during the fall season. Mayfield runs the floor well for his frame and actively cuts to the basket to create near the rim. He picked up his second D1 offer but the Edgewater product should surely see an uptick in offers heading into the summer.
Kentrell Marin | G | 2025 | Blake | @KJMartinJr
At 6-7 with guard playing abilities, there’s no doubt that Martin can make an impact at the next level. He’s continuing to make noise in the offseason after a productive year and a 5A state championship appearance. He’s displayed a college-ready frame with the skills to be a multi-level scorer.
Patrick Liburd Patrick Liburd 6'5" | SG NSU University | 2025 State #218 Nation FL | SG | Class of 2025 | Sagemont Prep | @rickyluburd_10
A true rising prospect, Liburd lit it up during the spring and summer AAU periods and brought his A-game during the fall season, landing his name more than once on a standout list. He’s a tough and physical guard who can attack the basket or use his size to finish strong at the rim. Has seen a recent uptick in college interest but can really see a huge jump with a consistent and productive senior campaign.
Darius Washington Darius Washington 6'4" | CG Orlando Christian Prep | 2025 State #373 Nation FL | G | 2025 | OCP | @Dmwash35
Productive season for the rising junior who nearly helped OCP take home the 2A state championship after a 25-5 season. Washington produced double-digit scoring efforts on the season while seeing his college stock rise in the process. The 6-4 guard is an athletic and forceful finisher near the rim who gave his all night in, night out.
Jeremy Nixon Jeremy Nixon 6'6" | SF Kathleen | 2025 State FL | G | 2025 | Kathleen | @JeremyNixon_
Nixon is one of the more underrated 2025 prospects not just in Polk but the entire state. He jumps out of the gym when watching his film while using his 6’5 frame to dominate smaller guards and flash his smooth knock-down jump shot. Nixon is a potential wing/guard at the next level that will be a true scoring threat as he continues to develop. He currently holds an offer from Edward Waters but will keep an eye on his recruitment moving forward.
Austin Leslie Austin Leslie 6'7" | SG The Rock-National Team | 2025 State FL | G | 2025 | The Rock | @_AustinLeslie4
College coaches looking for a guard prospect with a 6-7 frame that can handle the rock and shoot the lights out, get eyes on this kid Austin Leslie Austin Leslie 6'7" | SG The Rock-National Team | 2025 State FL who helped The Rock School take home the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association trophy this season. This kid can use his size to finish at the rim or create space for his shot. Time for colleges to wake up to the upside potential he brings. Keep an eye on his progression heading into summer.
Landen Harwood | CG | 2025 | Lake Worth Christian | @landen_harwood
2023 stats: 27.2 ppg – 7.9 rpg – 3.5 apg – 3.9 spg
This kid has done nothing but produce for his high school this season while leading the state for 2025s in scoring and shooting 51% from the field while doing so. The 6-3 rising junior has been a consistent and reliable producer who has been slept on by media outlets. He deserves recognition for his play and should generate some college interest.
