Here, we take a look at seven players who stood out in the 2027 class.
Keaton Gregory Keaton Gregory 6'9" | C Trinity Episcopal | 2027 VA | 6’9” C | Rock It Sports 2027
Gregory continues to show why he’s one of the top freshman in the Richmond area, as the 6’9” big man is chock full of potential and continues to get better every time we see him. He was a standout for Trinity this past year in his role, and in his first AAU tournament he was impressive with his inside presence and versatility as well. He seals well and has good hands and feet in the post to finish when he gets deep, he has good touch out to the elbows, he’s a good passer with a high IQ and he’s a good rim protector as well.
Maddox Patrick | 6’5” WF | Team Loaded 804 2027
Patrick plays alongside Gregory at Trinity, and he had a great weekend showing they are in good hands moving forward with their young core. The 6’5” wing already has great size and is likely still growing, and he has a lot to him that makes him productive in a number of different ways. He’s physical in the post and is a good finisher through traffic when he gets downhill, he can knock down shots from deep when he’s left open and he is a good rebounder and makes the right play consistently.
Luke Bergeron | 6’1” WG | Rock It Sports 2027
Bergeron is part of a young Benedictine core to keep an eye on, as he is a highly skilled wing who is likely still growing and has a lot in the bag to work with. He’s a dead eye shooter from deep with good range and the ability to set his feet quickly, he gets after it on both ends of the floor and he is very good at attacking closeouts where he can either finish at the rim or make plays for others.
Connor Wilcox | 6’5” F | Rock It Sports 2027
Wilcox is another intriguing young forward with this Rock It team that will be a force to reckon with as time goes on. The 6’5” forward is a strong and mobile big who plays with tenacity and a high motor in the paint as a rebounder and a defender. He can knock down shots and put it on the deck making him a mismatch nightmare and he is consistently productive and efficient across the board.
Jeremiah Williams | 6’6” PF | Team Loaded 2027
Williams is a highly intriguing prospect who is still new to the game so his upside is through the roof moving forward. At 6’6” with long arms he has a basketball body that should fill out nicely, and he’s a natural athlete who can explode to the ball for rebounds and play above the rim. He has all the tools to be a versatile and lock down defender, and he has a great base skillset to work with as he continues to grow and develop.
Dean Williams | 6’4” CG | Team Loaded 2027
Williams has already showed he’ll be one of the premier guards in the 757 as a freshman at Norfolk Academy, and he was putting on a show in their first AAU event of the year too. The 6’4” guard can do a little bit of everything as he is shifty and strong with the ball in his hands allowing him to get to the rim, and he can move off the ball to knock down shots as well. He’s an unselfish playmaker who makes his teammates better, a very good on ball defender with active hands and good length to get deflections and he can create his own shot too.
Josiah Law | 6’3” CG | Rare 1s 2027
Law is going to be another very good player in the 757 as the Landstown freshman has shot up 7 inches over the last year and now is a big guard with a great skillset. He has good speed and changes speeds well off the bounce to get to the rim where he’s a good finisher, he can knock down shots consistently from deep off the catch and off the bounce and he’s a good athlete who has good body control and hang time to finish.
