Raw talent on display including some standout guards in the 2027 class that classify as true point guards but can really score if needed. Keep in mind I did not get to catch everyone so I missed you I’ll be sure to keep a eye out next time.
2027 Beckham Black Beckham Black 6’1″ | PG Duncanville | 2027 State TX , younger brother of the Orlando Magic’s Anthony Black was unique type of guard that we don’t see this often as only a freshman. Nothing crazy stands out about him athletically or height wise yet but he is just about as elite as they come at the PG position. His IQ & passing ability is already college level displaying the ability to throw crazy oops, drop dimes and run the offense even in a camp where there was no offense to run. He scored some tough buckets as well and gave me the feeling he’s looking to distribute but If needed he’s also a bucket. He knocked down some long 3 balls as well maybe 6-10 feet off the line. I’m excited to see how his offensive role may increase at powerhouse Duncanville as he heads in his sophomore year. Make sure he’s on your radar for the summer as well…
Only my 2nd time catching 2027 point guard Kavian Bryant Kavian Bryant 6’2″ | CG Palestine Westwood | 2027 State TX who had a stock rising summer and school season. He’s been impressive both times, he displayed some elite scoring skills at Gaso against some tough competition. Elite may be a understatement, he rarely missed in the few games I seen him. He can go to basket and finish in a variety of way or pull up for the midrange/3 ball. He’s good and had quite the season playing varsity ball even recorded a 50 point game. Make sure he’s on your radar for the summer, he’s a natural point guard.
JuJu Minor
JuJu Minor
2027 PG JuJu Minor is another name that is starting to bubble in the 2027 class. He put on a impressive display at Gaso in a event where some kids were “too cool” to play defense he made everyone work for everything. Easily the best defender on this list his 2 way skills could take him far. He fly’s around defensively and has a surprisingly quick bounce. He went head to head with some of the top predicted guards in the class and looked really on par or even better athletically. He finished averaging 20 in his freshman debut and is a standout in both football and track as well. He showed some serious potential to be a freakish athlete moving forward and should be on everyone’s radar heading into the summer.
2027 Roman Dulin Roman Dulin 5’10” | PG Mansfield Lakeridge | 2027 TX is one of the less talked about 2027 point guards as far as rankings are concerned but he can go with the best of them. His bag is DEEP and he uses a variety of fancy passes to facilitate offense and get everyone open shots. In addition to his true point guard skills, he can really light it up on the offensive end. Step backs, crazy lay package, top tier ball handling and even shots the 3 ball at high percentage. He’ll be at Lake Ridge next year and could have a breakout season, make sure he’s on your radar.
Highlights
2027 Isaak Hayes Isaak Hayes 5’10” | PG North Crowley | 2027 State TX is widely know for going viral in middle school but the verdict still remained on how he would do in high school. He’s answered all those questions and some starting for one of the state’s top teams North Crowley this season and looking on par. He made things look effortless at Gaso even with top tier defenders on him. He threw some crazy oops and dimes but my favorite part about his game is how well he operates in traffic. Large defenders don’t bother him, he can get pass them with his fancy ball handling and makes wild looking scoops and reverse lay ups. He also has a quick trigger from the 3 point line that is nearly impossible to block. Look for him to really breakout next season he is a national talent with his skills and IQ.
2027 Christopher Hunt could also be a special talent in the 2027 class. Competitive and played at the highlest level possible earning himself a starting spot at powerhouse Duncanville as only a freshman. True point guard, he not only controlled his teams pace at Gaso but also showed some superior ball handling under pressure. He dropped some nice dime but his shifty nature, tough finishes, and hanging pull up jump shots is what caught my eye. As with most young scores he can be streaky but it’s easy to see he’ll be a name that needs to be mentioned with the top 2027’s when all said and done. Make sure he’s on your radar this summer, he’s a guaranteed stock riser.
