Chris Hunt knows how to drive the basketball into the paint quickly and contribute in multiple ways on offenses. His ballhandling under pressure helps his team in crunch time and his pull up shot off the dribble is one of the best I have seen this season. His motor hustling for loose balls is undeniable, and he consistently gives it 100% effort every time he takes the floor. Running for Max Levels Elite 17u this summer, Deuce will be looked to as a key bucket getter and glue guy.

was a huge contributor on the offensive end, especially downhill. He could easily maneuver through the driving lanes and take advantage of defenders. Throughout the game, his drives were crucial in keeping the team in the game, but unfortunately, they lost by a few points to North Crowley. Christopher also had a knack for drawing fouls in the mid-range area, which led to him going to the free line plenty of times.

Hunt Jr. displayed strong court vision and decision-making with the ball in his hands, never forcing the action. He showed the ability to drive and retreat, reading help defenders and the backline before making them rotate early. Once the defense shifted, Christopher Hunt diced it up with skip passes, swing reversals, and crosscourt assists, keeping the offense flowing and on time.

Hunt has been a steady presence in Duncanville’s program since his freshman year, contributing as both a lead guard and combo option. Along the way, he’s competed against elite national talent, gaining invaluable experience in high-stakes environments. Despite major turnover within the program, including graduation losses and coaching changes, Hunt continues to flourish. He’s playing with confidence and control, helping guide a preseason-underestimated Duncanville group to the top of a demanding district. If the Panthers are going to replicate last year’s state championship success, Hunt’s heart, adaptability, and skill set will be central.

His scoring presence was felt in all facets of the offense, particularly in fastbreak and transition situations, where he used his speed to get out in front and his body control to adjust or hang midair. He consistently got to the free-throw line by staying aggressive and finishing through contact.

Hunt showed a great feel for the game as he anticipated plays and passes before they developed, allowing him to jump gaps or swipe precisely for steals. Offensively, he forced the opposing defense to play at his tempo, pushing the ball or advancing it early before the defense could get set, which created premature rotations that led to clean jumpers off the reversal. His knack for playing with speed turned routine transition sequences into legitimate fastbreak opportunities. His first step was a dangerous burst of explosion, both off the catch, where he instantly put defenders in recovery mode, and off the dribble, where he would slow-probe before blowing by his man. Hunt never stopped coming at his opponent, relentlessly applying scoring pressure that eventually demoralized defenders.

A bucket by nature with natural scoring instincts. Chris Hunt Jr. wasted no time finding his jumper, getting to his spots, or attacking the rack as he read defenders off the catch, creating a lethal first step, a quick pull-up, and an electric jab from triple threat. Hunt played with rare shot-making ability, consistently knocking down heavily contested attempts, needing almost no space thanks to his combination of elite elevation, quick-trigger mechanics, and off-balance shot creation that very few guards can replicate. Hunt also showed off his athleticism with high-flying transition slams, often finishing over or through shot blockers who simply couldn’t match his lift. Anytime he made a play, it injected immediate energy into his team.
