This series will be broken into multiple articles which will feature various recruits who can make an impact at the next level. The main goal for Prep Hoops Florida is to shed light on all student-athletes working day in and day out to earn a spot on a college roster. Our daily coverage is unmatched and we thank all coaches and readers for tuning in.
Reggie White | G | 2024 | Williston | @ReggieWhite0
Fresh off a state championship season that saw Williston finish 29-2, this kid Reggie White deserves some recognition for his play and contribution. White finished his senior season with 10.5 ppg with 5.1 assists and 4.4 rebounds to add. White is an athletic and explosive guard at 6-2 who’s putting the work in to tweak his overall game. The 2x state champ is a physical guard that college coaches can use at the next level.
Israel Gaines Israel Gaines 6'2" | CG First Coast | 2024 FL | CG | 2024 | First Coast | @israel_gaines5
Gaines is still available for college coaches to take a look at after recording 18 ppg with 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals to add. He’s another solid scoring guard on the list who’s been overlooked despite solid production at the prep level. The 6-2 senior was selected to the Gateway All-Conference Team for his outstanding play. For his game, he’s a deadly shooter that can get hot quickly and take over with his scoring efforts.
Jereon Watson | F | 2024 | CHS | @JeroenWatson2
College coaches looking for a 6-8 versatile prospect that can handle the rock and jump out the gym, get eyes on rising senior Jereon Watson who helped Central to a 22-7 record following a 14.5 ppg and 8.7 rebound per game season. I’m not sure how this kid is still on the market. He’s a dominant presence on the floor that can score in a variety of ways. He’s an All-Conference player that will make a college coach proud at the next level.
Demarcus McDan | G | 2024 | Belleview | @DemarcusMcDan
Not the best season for Belleview but rising senior Demarcus McDan was able to show off his ability to play the game at the college level. He scored 12.4 ppg while showing off his electricity and potential at the point guard position. He’s a skilled scorer who can get to the rim or hit defenders with a nice floater. He’s a decent guard on the college radar at 6-2 height with solid ball control and scoring abilities.
