It took some time to sift through all of the talented players in the CIF Southern Section this season and whittle it down to teams of five. We broke down our Player of the Year and the four other members of the All SoCal First Team here and in this piece we go in-depth on the All SoCal Third Team selections.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502809' first='Aidan' last='Fowler'] | G | Sr. | JSerra

Fowler put together some virtuoso scoring performances in leading JSerra to an Open Division playoff spot. The 5-foot-11 point guard scored his season-high 36 points in the Lions' first-ever win over league rival Mater Dei and he averaged a team-high 18 points per game on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502811' first='Justin' last='Pippen'] | G | Sr | Sierra Canyon

Pippen was one of the biggest stock-risers both in the state and in the country as he nearly quadrupled his scoring average from his junior to senior years. The 6-foot-3 point guard produced a shade over 16 points per game for the Trailblazers, was a First-Team All-Mission League selection and led Sierra Canyon into the Open Division playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1188984' first='Robert' last='Hinton'] | G | Sr. | Harvard-Westlake

Hinton was one of the most dynamic two-way players in the state and his impact was felt on both ends on the biggest stages. The 6-foot-4 wing showed his defensive versatility by guarding multiple positions, wasn't afraid to be a dirty work/glue-guy when the Wolverines needed it and provided an efficient scoring punch to go along with teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1502769' first='Trent' last='Perry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1630618' first='Nik' last='Khamenia']. Hinton averaged 16 points per game with his patented mid-range jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630620' first='Elzie' last='Harrington'] | G | Jr. | St. John Bosco

Harrington has established himself as one of the better offensive and defensive playmaking guards in the state. The 6-foot-5 junior averaged better than six assists per game to go along with 14 points in leading the Braves to a Co-Trinity League title, a Southern Section Open Division playoff berth and a Division 1 State Championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502796' first='Darnez' last='Slater'] | G | Sr. | Eastvale Roosevelt

Slater was a do-it-all type of guy for the Mustangs who sometimes got overlooked because he played alongside some very talented teammates. The 6-foot-3 Colorado State-signee averaged 15 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in helping lead the Mustangs to a Big VIII League tournament title and appearances in the CIF Southern Section Open Division championship game and the CIF State SoCal Regional Open Division final.
