About Trent
Expert Analysis
Sam Levine | Prep Hoops Scout
Prep Hoops SoCal’s #3 Ranked Prospect came to play in this championship game. One of very few guards in the high school level you can tell has a real college and potentially NBA level point guard brain. Perry sees the game and plays it at a speed that is faster than anyone else on the floor. He stays composed and is able to make the right decision for this team, rarely turning the ball over. Trent is going on to play for USC this season, and will be a great fit with Andy Enfield as Enfield has shown the consistency to build NBA level guards and take them to the next level.

Trent finished with 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal in Harvard Westlake’s victory over Perry on Saturday night. Perry scored the ball from all over the court in this one as he used a variety of dribble moves to create separation consistently on the perimeter and rose up over defenders to knock down jumper after jumper, eventually finishing 10/23 from the field, 2/5 from 3.

Trent was typically solid over the weekend for Harvard Westlake in their win over Lynwood (RealRun). Perry scored the ball confidently at all 3 levels, created a multitude of opportunities for others to score, and defended tenaciously.

The long wing showed his special he can be in transition. Good shooting skills off the catch that can turn him into a good two-way player. Knows how to use length to his advantage.
