will take on greater playmaking and scoring responsibilities this coming season for the Wolverines following the graduation of Trent Perry and Robert Hinton. He is playing effectively out of the mid to high post and developing his ability to play the pick and roll as the ball handler, as well as continuing to showcase his 3-level scoring ability with nice touch and footwork in and around the basket.

-Khamenia always seems to make the right read in the halfcourt as a passer or scorer on the block or in the high post. Shot it well from beyond the arc, midrange, and from the low post. Khamenia has definitely worked on his body and it paid dividends, sliding well enough to force a few dribble pick-ups on his opponent’s drives to the paint.

The 6’8 wing is building himself to be an all-around player. A player who lacks deficiencies and can be used in several different roles for his team. That is something that all NBA teams crave from a player. Khamenia reminds me of Matas Buzelis, 2024 NBA draft prospect with the G League Ignite, who is a player that with development to his strength could be able to play 4 positions at a high level in the NBA in several different roles. Nik has great ball handling and playmaking skills for someone at his size already. I am excited to see him build off that as he picks from his several D1 offers as he heads into his senior season next year.

Nik had 21 points in Harvard Westlake’s win over La Mirada on Tuesday night. He was very difficult to stop as he was able to score from a variety of different places on the court based on was matched up with him and has a lengthy list of moves and countermoves he can go to.
