Here are 8 sleepers from the junior class to possibly make a jump over the next year:
Jayden Standifer Jayden Standifer 6'8" | C Cholla | 2025 State AZ Cholla
The big fella is just scratching the surface. He recently started getting more serious about the game. You see the glimpses with his size and length to rebound and block shots. He can score with a drop step and shows a nice shooting touch. If he starts figuring it out, watch out.
Trey Mckinney Trey Mckinney 6'6" | PF Perry | 2025 State AZ Perry
The power forward from Washington is a fluid athlete and comes with skill and played behind Koa and D’Andre. He can face up from mid to the three point line and uses his length and size to score on put backs. His rebounding stood out when he played.
Jeremiah Robertson Jeremiah Robertson 6'5" | PF Casteel | 2025 State AZ Casteel
A mini stock riser already who went up 10+ spots. The long power forward is an above the rim athlete and a fluid mover in space to defend multiple positions. If he keeps progressing his skills, he’ll make a leap up.
Deshaun Johnson Deshaun Johnson 6'3" | SF Corona del Sol | 2025 State AZ Corona del Sol
A long wing forward went up 32 spots but can be a guy who keeps ascending. He grew a little and has polished up his shooting from the perimeter from both levels. He uses his length to defend and he will be their go-to guy next season.
Nolan Kramer Nolan Kramer 6'5" | PF Gilbert | 2025 State AZ Gilbert
A power forward who started on the senior dominant team went up 21 spots. He can score from inside but also can shoot it a little facing up. He is good with his back to the basket and is active on defense. The team may play thru him next season and his production will spike up.
Connor Corey Connor Corey 6'5" | PF Pinnacle | 2025 State AZ Pinnacle
A highly skilled power forward unfortunately missed all season with an injury. He was most likely going to start and went down before the season started. He can shoot it from mid-range and in plus step out and hit the three. He also rebounds well in his area.
Kenneth Hill Kenneth Hill 6'4" | SG Sunrise Mountain | 2025 State AZ Sunrise Mountain
A bigger scoring guard went up 31 spots these rankings and can make another leap up. He uses his size and frame to get downhill and can hit the perimeter jumper. If he can keep improving his deep ball, he will rise up some more.
Tyran Simpson Tyran Simpson 6'2" | SG Deer Valley | 2025 State AZ Deer Valley (Pictured)
Every year there are one or two Deer Valley players who seem to come out of nowhere. They wait their turn with all the depth they have and shine in their senior year. He is one of the better athletes in the class and uses his quick twitch reflexes on defense. If he can evolve more as a shooter, he will move up the next go-around of rankings.
