Vazquez is listed at the small forward spot simply because there’s no official “wing” slot in the prospects database just yet. He’s a versatile 6-foot-5 presence who’s shown he can operate as a slasher and playmaker with the ball in his hands at Wayne Country Day. He averaged 15.7 PPG and 8.3 RPG as a presence in the Chargers rotation in 2023-24, showing he can get to his spots off the bounce and play a role in the rebounding game. He’s a prospect for DI and DII programs in the region to get eyes on.
Edmonds had himself a stellar senior year as he took home Mid-State 2A Player of the Year honors and looks to keep West Stokes season alive tonight when they face Reidsville High on the road. He’s a big guard at 6-foot-5 who’s capable of operating in a variety of ways as evidenced by his ability to lead his squad this season. He should be a name to know next season at Converse University.
Benbow continues to make strides in the 2024 class as he moves from No. 82 into the 69th spot in the latest rankings. He earned the nod as the PH Player of the Year in the Coastal Conference after averaging 15.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 2.2 SPG and 2.1 APG for White Oak High. He’s slowly emerging as a developmental JUCO prospect worth noting with a recent offer from Pitt Community College and NC Wesleyan.
Highlights
Boyce was quite the combo guard prospect for United Faith Christian Academy as he climbs from No. 132 into the 81st spot in the final rankings update for the class. He knocked down a total of 93 3-pointers in 2023-24 while averaging 13.2 PPG for the Falcons as they made yet another NCISAA 1A Title appearance. He’s a combo guard who can operate off the bounce and off the catch and remains an available prospect for DI and DII programs to get eyes on.
King is the last of the stock rising combo guards in the class as he moves from No. 218 into the 85th spot in the final rankings update. He’s a sizeable prospect at 6-foot-6 who can operate on the wing and in the backcourt as he has his whole high school career. He reached the 1,000-point plateau in his career and secured a 3A NCISAA State title to close out his career as he looks for a home at the next level. College programs of all levels would be wise to take a look at him!
