Junior Mancho
7p 8r vs Spalding
-Mancho is an absolute load on the low block, using brute strength and tenacity to carve out space on the block for hook shots and rebounds. He excels in his role as a rebounder, screen-setter, paint enforcer, and play-finisher for OLMC. Interested to see how his game develops this summer as he will likely be playing on a circuit, and playing up.

-Some of the best tools that I’ve seen in the class, Dixon has really good feel and just plays a winning brand of basketball–stepping up as a rebounder, scorer, shooter, defender–whatever his team needs. He was really effective on the ball defensively, forcing stops and securing rebounds to get Severn going in transition. Interested to see if he develops into a big guard or a wing down the line.

-Marshburn’s offensive game is still a bit raw but he adds a ton of value as a defender on or off the ball. Standing at 6’4 with a +wingspan, he was a defensive menace for the Dragons guarding both forwards and perimeter players as a matchup or on switches. His ability to impact the game across the stat sheet will make him an extremely valuable piece for Coach O’Donnell and the Dragons.

-Continue to come away impressed with the maturity and growth in Foster’s game. Offensively, he is reading the help defender much better to make decisive reads to shoot or kick out to shooters. Last year he would dribble into traffic and often throw up an off-balance shot looking for a foul. This year he is hitting shooters, using a reverse pivot to create a better angle for the pass or shot, or hitting cutters. Skill-wise he is getting to his spots for pull-ups or step-throughs much more efficiently and has cut way down on his turnovers. He’s also using his frame and his length much better to create space to get his shot off.
His motor has also improved by leaps and bounds, running the floor and finishing at a high level while also blocking way more shots. He had two big blocks the last few possessions to seal a City Title for Edmondside-Westside, their second in a row. Foster will look to carry that momentum into a likely-expanded role on a Loaded VA team that has added a ton of talent to the roster.
