<p>This past week I went to 2 games that had huge impacts on each team's season. Tuesday night I was at the rivalry game of Pickerington as Pick North went on the road to play against Pick Central which ended in an overtime game-winner, 45-42. Friday night I watched a comeback win as Worthington Christian went on the road against Columbus Academy and won the Central Buckeye League, 47-35. These are the players who stood out to me this week from these games.</p>

The Warriors were on the road for a chance to win the Central Buckeye League. This type of game is when you lean on your best players to win your games. That is exactly what happened in the 2nd half for Worthington Christian. They called every play for him in the 3rd quarter and that's when they started to take the game over. He kept them in the game in the first half and then took it over in the 2nd. He was getting the ball deep in the paint and finishing through contact. He was getting every single rebound. Johnson had one of the few games I have ever seen be won by one player. u003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Sam-Johnson-CA2.jpgu0022u003eu003cimg class=u0022size-medium wp-image-2352198 alignrightu0022 src=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Sam-Johnson-CA2.jpg?w=300u0022 alt=u0022u0022 width=u0022300u0022 height=u0022200u0022 /u003eu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1359618"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Wells came up clutch in their rivalry game against Pickerington North. He was rather quiet all night but in the 2nd half, especially the 4th he took over. He was dunking everything and was getting the ball at points no one else could get. He is strong and big and can jump out of the gym. He was really good at getting dump-offs from the guards and fishing it through the defense. He was also great defensively. He can guard any position. He was a great rim protector. He was blocking a ton of shots. He brought the Tigers a lot of energy and momentum when they needed it in a close game. u003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Braylin-Wells-PICK.jpgu0022u003eu003cimg class=u0022size-medium wp-image-2352199 alignrightu0022 src=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Braylin-Wells-PICK.jpg?w=300u0022 alt=u0022u0022 width=u0022300u0022 height=u0022200u0022 /u003eu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["2047488"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"McFadden played one of the most impressive games I have seen this season. He was unbelievable from the start of the game til the end. He came out and got the lid off the rim. He was scoring by doing the dirty work. He was getting offensive rebounds by out-hustling everyone on the court. He made winning plays all night. He thrived off the sold-out environment. He had multiple dunks. For the majority of the game, he was the best player on the floor. He played tremendous defense due to effort. McFadden was amazing. Plan and simple. u003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Favor-McFadden-PICK2.jpgu0022u003eu003cimg class=u0022size-medium wp-image-2352200 alignrightu0022 src=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Favor-McFadden-PICK2.jpg?w=300u0022 alt=u0022u0022 width=u0022300u0022 height=u0022239u0022 /u003eu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1432005"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Lawson showed some great maturity Tuesday Night against Pickerington Central. Pick Central's game plan was clear, they were not going to let Lawson beat them. It did not take him long to realize this and then he started to put on a passing cling. He was making next-level passes when they did not even look to be there. He was still having an impact on the game. He also showed some great hands-on defense. u003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Arness-Lawson-PICKerington.jpgu0022u003eu003cimg class=u0022size-medium wp-image-2352201 alignrightu0022 src=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Arness-Lawson-PICKerington.jpg?w=300u0022 alt=u0022u0022 width=u0022300u0022 height=u0022200u0022 /u003eu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["2213494"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_player_featured_image":2352203,"_player_evaluations_4_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Davis really impressed me Friday night. This junior is freakishly long and knows how to play the game. I loved what Davis did for Columbus Academy on defense. He can guard a lot of different positions. He does amazing at help-side defense. He had multiple blocks all game that were due to the offensive player not seeing him. He does a great job of stunting into the help side position and getting back. He is a really good finisher. He got to the rim efficiently all game. He is a solid player that makes no mistakes. u003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Anderson-Davis-CA.jpgu0022u003eu003cimg class=u0022size-medium wp-image-2352202 alignrightu0022 src=u0022https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/02/Anderson-Davis-CA.jpg?w=300u0022 alt=u0022u0022 width=u0022300u0022 height=u0022290u0022 /u003eu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65d0404a38e9b"} /-->
