Not only is Tyler an extremely versatile player, but he’s also an efficient scorer. That efficiency helped Farmington build up a sizeable lead on Monday night, and they didn’t look back from there. He just finds ways to get high percentage looks, whether it’s relocating off the ball for an open three, cutting to the basket, or beating his man off the dribble and using his size and athleticism to finish at the rim. When a gap closed down as Tyler was driving, he had the poise and awareness to locate an open man with a kickout pass which helped him pick up 3 assists. Defensively he showed the versatility go guard a number of spots, swatted a pair of shots, and controlled the game on the boards.
Jordon is really starting to breakout over the back-end of the season, including 15 points in a recent win over Eastview. On Monday night he faced up with a deep and talented Farmington frontcourt, and was holding his own. At 6’6 he has a long and lanky frame that allows him to produce in the paint, but he showed fluid mobility and a nice looking shot that also allows him to pop out to the perimeter. Looks to be developing into a solid pick & pop shooter, but also flashed some footwork when he caught around the basket. I liked his fight to compete for rebounds and block shots even against players that had him for weight/strength. Combination of length, mobility, and budding skill makes him an intriguing prospect moving forward.
Brandon didn’t start the game off at his best, as he made a few mistakes and was trying to force his game at times. He absolutely took over in the 2nd though, and went on to finish with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists in a win. Hrncir has a handle and change of direction that you don’t often see in players at his size, and it allowed him to consistently get to the rim to finish. Once in the paint he has the strength to play through contact or the touch to finish over the top. Showed a quick release on his jumper as he drained a few threes as well. With Brandon playing at a high level and all of the talent around him, Farmington will be a tough out come playoff time.

Peyton still has to continue to improve/adjust defensively against the size and talent level that the SSC has, but his offensive skill-set is very impressive as a freshman. He handles with comfort under pressure, and has a change of pace that makes him very unpredictable on the ball. He doesn’t try to force his game, but when the opportunity is there he can make plays. Showed the ability to get squared up off the move as he hit a catch and shoot three. Also converted on a nice step-through move the beat the shot clock buzzer. Scoring 5.1 ppg off the bench for Rosemount as a freshman.

JJ continued to show why he belongs in that top group of wings in the 2025 class. He possesses size at 6’4-6’5, a silky smooth jumper from three or mid-range, and the pace/footwork to get to just about any spot he wants to off the dribble. All night long he was being defended by shorter and quicker defenders, but JJ was still constantly blowing by them because of how deceptive he is. Semanko was freezing defenders with a hesitation dribble or shot fake, and from there could get wherever he wanted to. He has one of the best euro-steps in the state because of how much ground he can cover with a single stride, and because he perfectly times his pick-up to avoid traveling. Utilized all of that to put up 27 points in a win over Minneapolis North.

Even in a game filled with athletic players, Jayden’s quickness stood out. He can simply fly up and down the floor and that motor never seems to stop. Hopkins loves to play fast, and Jayden is an ideal PG for their style of play because even when sprinting at full speed he seems to see everything on the floor. If there’s a gap to get to the rim, Jayden is going to burst through it and finish. If he notices a a teammate in space on the perimeter, he’ll zip a pass right into their hands to get off a shot. He’s a good rebounder at his size as well, as he attacks the ball out of the air and isn’t afraid to mix it up with bigger players. Constant box-score stuffer for one of the top teams in the state.

Zashon will be playing football at the next level, but is a talented hooper as well. His defensive instincts are second to none, as he is always coming up with steals, blocking shots at the rim, or tipping passes. Even when North fell behind, he didn’t stop working. Offensively he has a nice pull-up jumper from mid-range, and when he gets to the rim he can just hang in the air and finish in a variety of ways with the left hand. Finished with a team high 21 points in the loss.
