The high school basketball season in the Garden State has a little over a month left, meaning county and conference tournaments are in full swing. The Shore Conference Tournament released its schedule on Sunday and it should be filled with high level guard play throughout the tournament. Here are the guards to watch in the Shore Conference Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580578' first='Jayden' last='Hodge'], 6'5 SG St. Rose 2026

Hodge is one of the top sophomores in the Garden State and should put it on display in the Shore Conference Tournament. The 6'5 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and can finish through contact. Hodge uses his size to see over his defender and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a solid rebounder. Hodge is a talented guard prospect who should have a big Shore Conference Tournament for St. Rose.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412107' first='Jaycen' last='Santucci'], 6'4 SG Central Regional 2025

Santucci has had a monster junior season as he leads the team in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. The 6'4 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong above the rim and is unafraid of contact. Santucci can also score in the mid-range and is an underrated passer. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Santucci is an athletic guard prospect who will make plays all over the floor for Central Regional.

[player_tooltip player_id='1389143' first='Griffin' last='Linstra'], 6'5 CG Manasquan 2025

Linstra has shouldered the scoring load this season, averaging nearly 19 points per game. The 6'5 guard uses his handle effectively as he consistently gets into the lane and finishes nicely around the basket. Linstra has a good touch on his floater and rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands. He works hard for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is a tough on-ball defender. Linstra is a tough, two-way guard prospect who should continue to make plays at both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411626' first='Zayier' last='Dean'], 6'0 PG Red Bank Regional 2025

Dean has powered the Bucs' offense and will look to carry it over into the Shore Conference Tournament. The 6'0 guard has a tight handle and a lightning quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender of the bounce. Dean is a crafty finisher around the basket and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He is an underrated passer and plays with good instincts on the defensive end. Dean is a speedy, lead guard prospect who will be one to watch in the Shore Conference Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411648' first='Justin' last='Fuerbacher'], 6'4 SG CBA 2025

Fuerbacher has shown the ability to play in the frontcourt as well, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the 2025 class. The 6'4 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get to the rim and finish around the basket. Fuerbacher has a nice release on his jumper as he wastes little motion and sets his feet before he shoots. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and slides his feet on defense. Fuerbacher is a gritty guard prospect who should continue to make plays for the Colts over the next couple of weeks.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='1919089' first='Owen' last='Baker'], 6'0 SG Toms River North 2024

[player_tooltip player_id='1213572' first='Ben' last='Kipnis'], 6'3 SG Holmdel 2024
