#1 Academy of the New Church over #2 Friends Central, 64-50

Most of Laster's champion performance can be summed up with what he did in the third quarter. He kicked things off by rocking his defender to sleep before side-stepping into a pull-up three. His jumper was on because he hit two more pull-ups, one from three and another from the mid-range. In addition to those 8 points, he threw 3 dimes over the top of the defense and into the post to push ANC's lead from 12 to 22. Overall, he put up 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1608494' first='Dior' last='Carter'] | 6'4 W 2026 ANC

Carter made splash plays throughout the game, especially on defense. He showed off his athleticism with 3 blocks and a few deflections. When one of the FCS guards went for a layup, the two-way wing came out of nowhere to send it right back. Carter hit double figures as a scorer too (11 points). He popped a three off-the-catch, got to the basket on cuts, and threw down a two-hand slam to put the finishing touches on the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='1865294' first='Cameron' last='Smith'] | 6'6 F/C 2026 ANC

Similar to his semifinals performance, Smith came in off of the bench and made an instant impact. Collecting 8 rebounds, his size advantage in the post allowed him to clean the glass, effectively and efficiently. It also enabled him to overwhelm defenders. With 1-2 dribbles, Smith bodies up his man to add 10 points to the scoring column.

[player_tooltip player_id='1176360' first='Muhsin' last='Muhammad'] | 6'4 W 2024 FCS

“Moose” never stopped fighting. After putting up just 10 points in quarters one through three, he matched that in the fourth. He kept competing on defense and scoring with touch on offense in an attempt to cut the deficit to single digits. Muhammad led all contributors with 20 points, plus 8 boards and 2 steals.
