One in the Top 5 has even asserted himself as the top 3-point shooter in the state. Take a look at the Top 10 scorers in the NCHSAA as the regular season comes to a close.

1) [player_tooltip player_id='1280889' first='LJ' last='Smith IV'], Lincolnton

Smith made quite the varsity debut in the Lincolnton rotation. He led the way with 32.2 PPG as he turned around a squad that went 9-17 in 2022-23 to a squad that went 17-6 in 2023-24. He's an electric guard who can score the ball in a variety of ways in the 2027 class.

2) [player_tooltip player_id='1076334' first='Paul' last='McNeil'], Richmond County Senior

McNeil set the scoring books on fire this season for Richmond County with games of 71 points, 50 points, 49 points, 47 points and six 30+ point performances in his final season before heading to NC State next fall. He finished second in the scoring department at 30.9 PPG to wrap up the regular season.

3) [player_tooltip player_id='1126297' first='Jayden' last='Harris'], Salisbury

Harris is another prospect in the NCHSAA setting the scoring charts ablaze that's also headed to the ACC's Wake Forest next fall. He's produced 30.6 PPG on 56 percent shooting from the floor in his senior season with the Hornets. He posted a season-high 45 points in a victory over East Davidison back on Jan. 5.

4) [player_tooltip player_id='2314362' first='Dominic' last='Payne'], Trinity

Payne was a top scoring threat in the Trinity High rotation and easily one of the biggest new faces on the PH radar this season in the 2A West. He led his team in rebounds and assists as well in producing 30.4 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 5.4 APG. He's an unsigned senior prospect for college programs to get eyes on.

5) [player_tooltip player_id='1131339' first='Makel' last='Smith'], Morehead

Smith is a top scoring threat at Morehead High in the 2A Mid-State Conference given his prowess for knocking down 3's. He's another unsigned senior in the NCHSAA worth getting eyes on. He's the only player in Top 10 with more than 100 made 3-pointers at 101 on the year. He checks in at No. 5 with 30.3 PPG while shooting 42.4 percent from 3-point range.

6) [player_tooltip player_id='2351706' first='Jayden' last='Little'], Anson

Little is another new face on the PH radar in the 2025 class out of Anson High who's asserted himself on the scoring front. He's produced 30.0 PPG on 64 percent shooting from the field. He's a 6-foot-2 guard with some athleticism to exhibit when he's on the floor. Look for his name to climb up the radar soon.

7) [player_tooltip player_id='1165176' first='Marcel' last='Freeman'], North Johnston

Freeman is a lead guard with a nice balance of scoring inside and outside the 3-point line as evidenced by his 27.8 PPG on 56 shooting from the floor and 46 percent shooting from deep. He's a highly ranked junior guard in the state that DI and DII programs should get eyes on.

8) [player_tooltip player_id='1272558' first='Colt' last='Langdon'], Millbrook

Langdon is a big reason for Millbrook's success in the NAC6 this season at 8-1, producing 27.4 PPG. He's a 2025 wing prospect shooting 48 percent from the floor and 36 percent from 3-point land on the season. He knows how to string plays together to get his team going.

9) [player_tooltip player_id='2351712' first='Garrett' last='Morgan'], Queens Grant

Morgan is another new face on the PH radar out of Queens Grant High in Matthews. He's shown he can operate off the bounce and off the catch at 6-foot-3. He's producing 26.0 PPG on 52 percent shooting from the field as quite the unsigned senior prospect.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='2351709' first='Jayvin' last='Bradley'], Neuse Charter

Bradley is the final name on the list and the latest addition to the PH radar in the 2024 out of Neuse Charter School. He's produced 25.7 PPG this season including two 40+ point performances and 8 30+ point performances. He's an unsigned senior guard DII, DIII and JUCO programs should get eyes on.
