Expert Analysis
Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Jayden was on the other side of Nichols in Friday’s Tournament Opener. He went for 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in Tru Elite’s win. Little has been putting up strong performances so far this Spring, earning him a recent offer from Brunswick CC. He is a strong and athletic lead guard who crashes the glass, finishes with both hands at the rim, and can make all the passes necessary to run an offense. He is also capable of knocking down jump shots from the mid-range and behind the arc.

Little remains an underrecruited prospect in the 2025 rankings in North Carolina. He’s currently ranked second in the state on MaxPreps in scoring with 34.5 points per game on the season, which also ranks 14th nationally. Not much has been said about Little’s current scoring run with the Anson Bearcats as they’re currently 10-4 on the season. At 6-foot-3, Little has shown he can do a little bit of everything with 6.2 rebounds, 4.8 steals and 2.9 assists on the year as well. He’s opened the New Year scoring at least 30+ points in their last three games including 53 points on 19-of-31 (61 percent) shooting on the floor. On the season, he’s shooting 64 percent from the field and 39 percent from behind the arc as he has Anson on a 3-game winning streak and the bulk of 2A/3A Rocky River Conference play approaching. He’s showing why he’s a prospect for college programs of all levels to get eyes on given his production with a recent offer from Livingstone in December.

He’s an unsigned senior name for DII/DIII programs in the region to get to know.

Little recently made his debut in the PH 2025 rankings out of Anson High following an impressive scoring display for their varsity squad. He racked up 794 points while shooting 42 percent behind the arc and 63 percent shooting from the floor. He’s a volume-scoring guard who’s shown he can also keep others involved and defend at a high level. He’s another prospect to catch on the independent grassroots scene this spring/summer as he suits up with the NC Jayhawks .

Little is a prolific scorer who is running with the NC Jayhawks this spring and summer, and should be able to show on the Phenom Hoops stage why he can be a gamebreaker with his ability to fill up the basket. He can score all over the floor, but really likes to attack the painted area and make people feel his physicality when he attacks the rim. Will continue to show the scene why he can immediately come to the college level and score the ball, and play as a solid defender as well.

Little was quite the star for Anson High this season as he led their scoring attack with 29.4 PPG, according to MaxPreps. He’s an active 6-foot-2 guard prospect who also produced 6.4 RPG, 4.3 SPG and 2.6 APG on 63 percent shooting from the floor and 42 percent shooting from deep. He knocked down 46 3-pointers on the year while showing off an ability to create instant offense on the defensive end. Given his strong frame, he’s got a college-ready body on both the hardwood and the football field.

Little exploded for 44 points on Friday and 41 points last Tuesday, continuing his trend of being one of the top scorers across the entire state this high school season. He’s got such a confident ability to finish at the rim, taking opponents off the dribble and scoring effectively at the basket. When teams sag off, he can knock down shots from deep at a 45% clip, which makes him incredibly hard to guard. He needs more attention in the spring on the grassroots circuit as a scoring guard to monitor.
